Coincidences

I just read a new Braunschweig-book. A "paper-book", as Braunschweig-books have to be that way for me :-)
"The grave of the Lion" (Braunschweig is "The City of Henry the Lion")

A crime story, an "innkeeper" from the annual wine-festival on Kohlmarkt went missing.

Well... from 11th to 20th this month it´s... Weinfest, wine-festival, on Kohlmarkt.

It´s a good book, places are well described, historical facts are added, I finished it in no time, sadly.

It´s so fun to know exactly where everybody is and some of the facts I really had no idea of, either.

Just yesterday I passed Kohlmarkt, the wine-festival was still closed but the grocery market was build up.

The title?
Ingo wanted Pickled eggs for a change and I colored them, too.
Those fab patterns happened by coincidence - ain´t I "great" in drumming a spoon on a boiled egg? ;-)
And picking a book taking place in this time-frame?

Lion of the day is certainly the "real" (copy)-Henry!

Taken from Dankwarderode Castle.

Do you have such fiction-books with your city involved, too?
Ohhhh... are there Perth-books on that?

I´m back on track again, too.
27 552 steps, 2 550 calories burnt.

Addendum: 17 years today Dad left us.
I nearly forgot, just had such a strange feeling in my stomach...

I'm sorry about your father.

There are a couple of novels I can think of set here.

Thank you.
It´s always nice when your hometown is cherished like that.

Interesting sounding book! Pretty cool! And I love your pickled eggs. I need to look up the recipe. Pickled anything appeals to me!

Well, I use Ingo´s recipe:
1 tbsp black pepper, 2 tbsp mustard seeds, 50g salt, a tip of pimento, 3-5 bay leaves, black tea or egg-coloring for good looking :-)
Yep, the book was very cool!

The picked egg looks great.
I have no idea if there are thrillers or other fiction books set in Perth, will have to search that.
Enjoy the wine festival and have a great weekend.

I have never heard of pickled eggs ... don't think I would like them either. I have read several novels set in the Blue Mountains, it is interesting to see the place through other people's eyes.

Thank you, Sami, let me know, if you find books - amazon makes life so much easier :-)
Hmm, nah, we´re not wine-people, we only use it for cooking... You two have a great weekened, too!

Joan Elizabeth there are several yummy recipes for those kinds of eggs.
And yes, agreed, you see your place through different eyes!
