Let´s Go Back...

LOL, this looks like it´s floating in mid-air!! It´s not, yet...

*CLICK*
ssssssssst....

Yes, and then the magic begins.

Do you remember those days?
We have one in our toilet.. a fake, of course, just gives the paper...

But I simply couldn´t resist when ALDI sold a real one!

A hint, it´s SPRING...

Believe me, I can´t wait to meet my family and surprise my Nieces with this!!!
Yes, it´s ...

How "dumb", huh, take and make a real pic, take a digital one from this to post it!
Crazy, or... a kind of... well, still listen to Freddie? .. magic.

The best one found it´s way to the wall at my PC:

Oh. Hups. You can see me in the heart. The orange T-shirt I also wore here:

At Nambung National Park... I think the cam is paid, considering how long I wear my clothes, huh 😉

Here is proof I grew up with this:

Our BMW.
Dad was bored and taught me to drive our gear-BMW one day when I was age 14, guess what happened 🤣.

It was not me who had to take the consequences (parking lot was taken, I had to take another one and thought Mum will not notice... she did).

Dad was very silent that night and my little Bro went to a normal driving school at age 17.

"Sorry Bro"...
It´s him, btw, on the round sticker, my lille Bro. Together with a note from him ending with:

"herzliche liebe Grüße, Dein Brüderchen" in short: "love, your lille Bro". 🥰

Pics from yesterday: T-shirt, jumper, jacket (not Gurri anymore).
Today: T-shirt!!!! Only! 19C!!!! Yippeeeeee!
Never thought I´d think 19C is "hot"! And walk about in a T-shirt only (well, pants and shoes, too, of course 😉... and glasses).

Magnetically he clings to 1970-something as well as to today.

Do you fall for childhood-toys, too... at times?

Childhood... as Tom pointed out it´s Mother´s Day today.
1974 my Dad painted an Iris-flower as  Mother´s Day-card to end the "discussion" about my name as he choose it due to the retina ... he was an optometrist...

I hope Bro finds the card...

...I had a Polaroid camera, it seemed like magic. The yellow camera looks neat.

I always wanted a Polaroid. Never had one. And I have a lot of cameras so that is surprising. I bet you'll have fun with this one. Love the yellow. Have a great end of the weekend Iris!

Tom, I wanted another color, but this is OK, too. Difficult to work, though!

Erika, go get one, wasn´t that expensive :-)
Just the looks you get from people. BIG LOL. Adds to the fun.

Laurie, yes - sadly exspensive but oh so fun!

Polaroid magic: watching the image develop right before your eyes. The old polaroid pics that I had all faded out, but so did a lot of the regular film photos from the past. Digital is better — you can take so many more pictures. Our digital photo archive, if conventional, would probably fill a whole shoe store full of shoe boxes (the standard container for old photos). I’m just not that nostalgic for physical copies, but the current polaroid craze does amuse me.

I used to use my mother's polaroid camera when I was a teen. I can remember taking lots of photos but have none today from those days. 14C and raining. Enjoy your evening, Iris.

Terrific to own a Polaroid camera. I never owned one myself.

Mae, just imagine we had didgi-cams when visiting Australia!!! I´d still be sitting evaluating those!!!
It´s a wee-bitty-fun-stuff :-)

____

Bill, your Mum let you use the cam? Cool- sad you have left none...

I immediately knew what it was when I saw it. Yes, Polaroids were like magic when the camera and special film first came out. Nicely done, Iris.

Bertiebo, go for it :-)

Elizabeth, so cool, huh! Bet my Nieces (and Bro?) will get big eyes!

Those instax cameras cost heaps here, it's just not worth it, I remember my nana had one of those polaroid ones in the 80s, they were so much fun.

Hot at 19C? We have 18C here today and I'm inside wearing three layers with the heater on. We have rain too. It's unusual for May, but my country needs rain so I'm happy about that part.

Well, when you live 4 C then 19C is GOOOOD!

Polaroid pictures make great souvenirs. Don't they?

The illusion in the floating camera is so cool! How did you do that???

haha -- the parking story is a great memory. :D
