Got my monthly phone call from the job agency.
She thinks it´ll take till Autumn until proper jobs will be available.
I certainly go over search-engines etc myself!!!
There is nothing!
Yet, she gives tips etc.
She said the "financial crisis" back then was bad but this is even worse.
And that one company I worked before with and got a rejection, she said,... now get this!!!!
Maybe they look for a male and certainly do not tell.
There was a The Simpsons-episode on this, what else. Lisa was not able to grow a pen#s.
Nor won´t I (and I believe Ingo wouldn´t like that, either 🤣).
Autumn.
We´re in Spring.
What do people do who REALLY need the money (I rent out, oh, boy, am I thankful for that income - our condo is payed, too).
I get nothing from the state (due to the rent-out-place).
At least this time she announced 11:00 am and called 11:00 am. LOL - you gotta see the good things in life, right (I HATE to wait).
Autumn.
Just look outside. It says "11C, felt 8C" - that IS Autumn!!!
Maybe she finds a gardening job for black-thumb-me - online-job of course!
Better than nothing.

How can we be "safe" at the grocery, pushing trolleys side by side, but not in an office?!
There is a German word, begreifen - it means to understand something using your hands.
greifen - to grab.
As bitter joke the German adds, "my hands are too small for that". Mine are.

With the pandemic closing down many such places to in-office visits, how is one supposed to do a job search?
You get flooded with ads, kinda, we suspect. The search engines are misused these days.
They offer me jobs as doctor and other stuff I have no idea of. I mean. My name really is not Aorta after all.
Cleaning buildings... I am a small person and "on top" afraid of heights. And I will not do anybody´s teeth, I´m just no dentist.
It´s frustrating.
I was so sure to have a job come April.
You get no answer or a no. They don´t even invite you, if via zoom or such. I had two telephone interviews and they wanted me to work in other towns.
No.
...I hope that autumn comes soon for you!

Yes, cooking and maybe sewing, or arts - to be honest... I even "enjoy" this a bit.
It´s freedom.
Hopefully you'll get summer weather soon Iris and covid restrictions will loosen up and maybe you can have a fun summer. Like a last hurrah before you are back to work. OK, just a suggestion and easier said than to do.

RedPat, those people get provided by the state. With enough money for cigarettes and alcohol. One of them lives right around the corner since 10+ years.
They call it Hartz IV. It´s a kick in the butt for us who studied and worked for years... His window is mostly always open, he leans out, smokes and grins at us...
Ingo has a colleague who ha such a guy as neighbor,, too, teasing, "oh, on the way to work for me?".
