Some of you said you love her, I do, too, she has a great voice.
Back in the day... I got a "black copy" of her album from my friend´s Hubby.
We were at their wedding. We learned a dance for that, the simplest one (Fox-Trot?) .
There were a lot of guests, she went over and told me how she loved we made the effort and we do well, too (we both have two left feet, as you say).
She, as me, never wanted kids, then two girls came along.
I babysat them even, boooooy. Leave ME alone with kids!!! Twins!!!
All went well. I somehow managed (she went to take a shower!!! Like really going away!!!!)
They were older. When they came home.
He was 41 years of age.
Dead on the couch.
I always have to think of him when I listen to Norah Jones` songs...
Sadly the friendship broke away.
She is VW, I was but external and when I lost even that...
Ingo heard the same story, you work at Volkswagen / Audi and you are "better".
And shi#t on people who are not.
So be it.I´m not a garbage bin (she only turned to me when feeling bad - I was on meds, lost my job, felt bad, also - nothing to compare loosing your partner, but bad also).
He was a nice guy, had a heart failure we all knew about, took his meds always and still... BOOM.
I still enjoy her songs, Norah´s, but with a bitter taste.

Found my diploma, looking for it, pics to come, if you care.

I think we all have a friend like that Iris. One of my best friends had a very unhappy relationship, she rang every day to talk about it, thankfully she is now in a much better relationship and I only hear from her now and then, but I'm ok with that and happy that she's happy 💜
I never heard of her again, Grace. Which is sad as we were really close - or so I thought.
No BIG YAY from you on me babysitting twins?! 🤣
...songs trigger memories.
Yes. And that´s a good thing. His name was Arne.
You've probably seen the quote "people come into your life for a reason, season, or a lifetime." Friendships/relationships help us learn and grow. Sometimes sad when the friendship ends, but always a lesson and usually a happy memory or two. Like your friend with the twins. Bless you for helping her out taking care of two at once! I had a hard enough time with my girlies 4 years apart!
CJ, they could but crawl.. but THAT they could, and fast!
Yes, you are right, there are good memories. And I keep them in my heart.
Babysitting one kid would be too much.
Two?
So... a bow for me? The Aort... majesty?
I really like that quote from CJ Kennedy. I wrote it down and will remember it.
Probably for ever. I hope you'll remember it too!
How sad that your friend's husband died so young. Sometimes, even medication doesn't help.
Music always brings me back to a period in my life when the song was popular or on the radio.
I remember this song.
Totally
I understand your nervousness with the twins. I'm that way every time I'm with the toddlers! We've all known someone like your friend. You were good to listen.
Never heard of Noaha Jones
Coffee is on and stay safe
it's hard when friendships come and go, I know I've been hurt tremendouslyl when people have turned their backs but very sad about the young death, 40 is way too early.
