My entry for Elizabeth´s T - a tomato-juice 🍅
I am sorry for this long post.
In my defense:
a) this is my diary, sort of, but especially
b) it´s your fault! 😉
In my blog-beginning-days I wrote what came to mind.
Now: Monday: Sami´s Murals, Tuesday, Elizabeth´s T, - and with the journal my diary cause- Wednesday Tom´s Signs2, Thursday Rain´s Art and Dinner Date, Friday Nicole´s FFO and Annie´s Smiles. And... if the words ring a bell in my brain (which doesn´t happen that often, as I am not that creative) I join River with Wednesday´s words on a Friday...
So... sorry.
T has to take it all due to the journal!
Saturday and Sunday is for "special" events or things I like to share off-topic.
Saturday and Sunday is for "special" events or things I like to share off-topic.
I thank you all for the challenges and memes, don´t get me wrong - it is FUN!!!!
Journal, if you care just yet again...
Monday: Ordered Ingo´s bread and went straight to get it after working 45 minutes to take care of things (it´s a 2km-walk one way).
Expected a long queue - I was the only one! 07:00 a.m. Is too early for most 😴
Next Netto: Christmas-jumper and PJs and a foot massage machine. By golly, that thing was heavy!!! My feet fall asleep so I hope this thing will help. 1 1/2 km to carry that... Meeep. And... it tickles!!!!
Since weeks I said we need to remove double/triple etc files from Sharepoint.
Anyone listened? Nope.
Monday morning: No one could work, space is full.
"Can you take care?". Yep, I do, 10 hours again. Wrote down 9. Alas, I am not allowed to work over-time and always do.
2 sessions with D.
Evening: "Lost places" on TV (thank you, Ingo, for letting me know!)
Tuesday: My Excel-magician again saved my life! And oh. Stress level can get higher, who knew that 😉Trying to work whilst being in a meeting with the noise in the Spanish office... puhhhh.... How that dude can work at all is beyond me.
We all give our best. 10 hours again. Bleh.
But teamleader confirmed: Once stress-level gets down I write down 8 hours and am but gone - give and take.
I hope we make it beyond the stress level at all...
Lunch superfast, and, if I may say so... super-yummy! Sad I can´t really remember how I prepared the tomato-sauce on Sunday... (I´ll show you Thursday)
2 sessions with D.
Wednesday: The morning started with a wonderful saying by The Padre: "...golden papers falling" - what a wonderful way to describe trees going naked (which I hate).
LOL. Wrote to proofreader that the translation company with more time and effort kept the German part. He called back at once! Ups, meant the English part, of course - think we have too much stress! 🤣
And asked how to put a graphic into a textfield in MS Word, what nonesense! Other way round, of course!
I had to work in German being in a meeting. They all spoke English but Spanish colleagues in the background were real loud. These chaotic 10-hour-workdays really show off. I´m not multi-tasking-languaging...
2 sessions with D.
And for once I really enjoyed a musical!!!
In Gilmore Girls - Autumn. Wonderful.
Certainly they had to take me to our bakery with ABBA´s "Waterloo" (I mostly walk by "Waterloo Straße" every Monday)
Thursday: Went to bed 10:15 p.m. - I get up 05:00 a.m. (no clock needed).
With my same-ole-same job I went to bed 11:15 p.m. and got up 04:40 a.m.
I´m really in so much stress now I need the plus sleep!
06:00 a.m. Outlook, first mail:
"Dear, ..."
LOL. Sweet. He meant to write "Dear all, ....", but this made me laugh straight away.
(He is Brazilian, speaks German but this went to also the Spanish colleagues).
Next: TOTAL chaos. Proofereader called me and we chatted for nearly 40 minutes (after "solving" the problem) about how great trams and the technical challenges are 🥰
Next Admin answered on a post from day before that I don´t need his help, but thanks for the offer. He joked this project is like really in chaos.
I "joked" back I have the new doc xy in German but found the original only as draft - have saved it in another program, though, and KABOOM - he went for the rescue and I learned so much new stuff again (can be resolved only with help from Spain, though).
The chaos went on all through the day. 10 hours, what else.
Chaos in a great team nails what I do these working days.
Proofreader is also quite sure that even if we don´t hit the milestone the project will go on and I will keep my job.
Two sessions with D.
Friday: 10 work hours, eating whilst working, loads of learning - even the Admin did! He was happy, then we both gave up and he said, let´s resume come Monday. Knackered again.
Ingo went through the roof again. Another pressie. We need a bigger condo soon, if he keeps doing this.
Ingo had a day off.
Before he took care of food for me when being home, reckon he´s sick of my work-routine, but I have no choice. I had an egg, hard boiled on Saturday for lunch. Ack.
Weekend:
Saturday: We slept in, sooo good. I was really totally worn out from the week.
Sadly then Ingo had a bad time and I was the one he let it go off to.
Maybe I am the dumbest human being alive , maybe it´s the stress or medication he has to take. Good times and sometimes very bad times.
Why I write this?
It has to go out and maybe some of you experience this, too.
If so... you are not alone.
Made kale. Was too sad to like it.
Sunday:
Die Maus, sleep, that was that.
Art-wise:
And food-vise... not even this these days...
Just a plain one.
We hopefully will make it.
If we do... I´ll take a ride on the tram in Frankfurt when we fly to Perth again!
Motivation, right?
Henry 🦁
I don´t wanna lose my job and my team and I wish Ingo understood...

Chaos with a great team is far better than chaos with a hopeless team. You are all doing so much each day.
I am sure Ingo does understand, but has different ways of coping and he has his medications and his own problems. But you love each other so you still have good times.
I lived with someone who "blew up" often and blamed me for his problems, so I get it. I will never live with someone again.
Yes, we are not totally hopeless. Though today I already got a question I by no means I can answer, LOL.
Yes, living with someone who gets choleric is difficult.
But... don´t you wanna give someone a chance again?
Bet there are many nice, calm guys around, too....
And... ha! I need to add you the list of the ones who make this post so long! At times, if the words come right, I join also you 😁
Job stress is the worst! When I had such stress, I finally quit: it was an in-person job and one day I just walked out and said I would never return. I'm sorry you don't really have that option.
best... mae at maefood.blogspot.com
Mae, it´s OK, reckon come Dec 1st the stress will be reduced.
Plus the super-great team makes it OK.
I once stepped out like you because the team was super-crap.
Ingo´s Grandmother (we lived with her) saw me coming back early and said: "You look so happy, did you finally quit?".
I enjoy your journal art and entries. Cute door stopper. I like pickled egg too. Working life is such that there are good days and there are not so good days.
Doggy says a big thank you! I really did pick him cause I thought he is rather cute!
Yes, come December we´ll likely have calmer days.
That is an interesting pickled egg. It reminds me of the Chinese style ones. Here pickled eggs have the yolk removed and mixed with pickles- and then the mushed up flavored yolk is put back in (of course you cut the egg in half longwise first). Yum, now I want a pickled egg. And Nice reindeer journal page and I want a personal magician please. Smile. Have a great T day Iris. hugs-Erika
...all I can say is that I'm happy to be retired.
I agree with Tom I am sooo happy to be retired too-much less stress in my life for sure. hang in there hugs
Erika, oh I think those are called deviled eggs?
Yes, that magician always comes in handy - actually I have three! One for Excel, one for Word, one for ACOMIS.
I´m spoiled ;-)
Hugs!
____
Tom, aw, well, we laugh a lot, too!
____
Kathy, I think come Dec1st it won´t be as stressy anymore, all good, hugs!
Oh dear, what stress! Awful! All I can say is that I am so glad I'm retired! I can't handle stress. Some people work better under a bit of stress. I completely lose it.
You are doing a great job, and you do seem to have a great team so that is a very good thing.
And it's extra difficult when your partner doesn't understand. I'm sure Ingo does but he doesn't want to because he has his own problems.
Your sangria looks like Bloody Marys!
Happy T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca
Great blog
So glad that you have such a great supportive team while work is so chaotic 😊. I'd love to try that pickled egg, I bet it'll go perfectly with my beer today. Your sad doorstop made me smile and Henry looks very handsome this week, has he had his mane styled - roar! Happy T Day! Hugs Jo x
Another busy week! I can see why you are so exhausted. Sounds like you have a great team to work with. Kale tastes like grass clippings.🤢 No wonder you were sad. Maybe you need to sit Ingo down and make him understand. Or at least tell him not to take his frustration out on you.
Your egg is so pretty. I think the Chinese have something like this that they do with tea called Chinese Tea Eggs. They are so beautiful, but I have yet to try one.
Your sketches are lovely, especially the door stopper.
I am sorry that you are dealing with so much stress at work and at home but I agree, it must come out. Journaling is an excellent way.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate
It sounds like in a few days things will ease off.
Lisca, no worries, I think the stress will gett less soon :-)
Nah, it was just tomato-juice, we are boring gpeople ;-) Hus!
____
Rajani, thank you.
____
Jo, Such luck with this team!
And oh, yes, that egg goes well with beer (see The Simpsons!)! And it´s so easy to make, I´ll post that some Thursday soon :-)
Doggy and Henry say thank you abd give (partially) roaring hugs! x
____
CJ, yes, sorry to bore you with that, LOL.
Grass clippings, LOL!!!!
Yes, I told Ingo I don´t want to have that one more time. But... will it work?
____
Kate, some Thursday soon a recipe is to come on the eggs :-)
Stress will be reduced soon, I think. Or hope. Better that, though, than being bored.
The middle would be good and yes, the journal and blog help a lot!
As do your kind comments!
____
William, that is my hope!!!
But even if not - the team is worth it all.
Your calendar is packed with post challenges lol I'd never be able to keep up :) Happy T Tuesday!
Hopefully after Dec 1 the stress at work & at home will ease. Ingo is probably worried for you and ends up reacting badly sometimes. We all do that one & a while.
Divers and Sundry, once you´re in you keep rolling :-)
____
RedPat, yes, Dec 1st!
Yes, Ingo is back to normal :-)
____
Immerhin! Er hat einen neuen Arzt gefunden!
Es kann ur besser werden!
A woman with many hats, maybe you can shed some and feel better after Dec 1st.
I will, Bill :-)
'Golden papers falling' I like that Iris.. Hugs! deb
I am just so impressed with what you do and how many different people you have to work with. Ingo, is a good guy and I think he understands. All that work and the journal too. Brava Iris. Have a lovely evening.
I get tired just reading your post; you are so busy! I think we all tend to take out our frustrations on those closest to us without realizing it. Since we are retired, we aren't as stressed. You will make it! Happy T Day.
My sincere apology for taking so long to visit. I finally realized I HAD to drag myself out of bed and see what you had offered for T this week. I'm definitely not a very good host, but I want you to know I greatly appreciate your visit and for linking this week. Yiu seem to have much the same week I normally have. Lots to see this week, too. Happy T Tuesday, dear Iris.
deb, yes, I loved this! hugs
____
Nicole, thank you, this really is the BEST team I EVER had.
Ingo made me mulled wine yesterday :-)
____
Sharon, stress will slow down soon - I hope! :-)
Yes, it´s easiest to take the one who is right there, I know...
____
Dear Elizabeth, I understood you have blogger problems (haha, who hasn´t), so no worries! You are NOT a bad host!
And it is always fun to join you! To better times :-)
Gosh they would be lost without you. Cant say I've tried a pickled egg though
Sorry to be so late - there's lots going on.....but not as much as your busy week. Pickled egg, kale...no thank you (grin) Ingo is probably both missing you and worrying about the time you are having to put in. Once again your drawings are a delight. Belated Happy T Day, Chrisx
Hi Iris, here's to a better week. Love your drawings this week. Still looking after sick kitties, so I'm very late to the party. Happy T Day! Elle/EOTC xx
