T Stands For A GreaT Week

My ticket to Elizabeth´s T! Yummy and the bags are so arty, it´s a joy.

The journal:

Monday: Cold on the way > ACEROLA will help! Got onion-potato-bread for my truffle butter. You can eat that. Or rather not!
Glad I have my Brussels Sprouts as highlight in the evening!
No training (arm still not OK).

Tuesday: T has "men-cold" (Männergrippe) > advised ACEROLA.
Ingo got me a tablet for Perth. Hallelujah. 3 1/2 devices. Plus my Aussie Lenovo.
"You've Got Mail" with wonderful Tom Hanks and very lovely Meg Ryan.
Ingo: "She has gotten old, at least... uuups..."
Yupp. WE are getting old (yippeeee - what is the alternative?).
10 hours of work due to seminar - ESE pays 50%! Am so happy with this company!!!
No training. But feeling much better!

Wednesday: Got up at 05, 08:30 still no time for brekkie.
Said via teams, "you don´t win friends with salaaa-ad".... K: "Either you have salad for brekkie or you watch The Simpsons now..." LOL I am surrounded by fans and, yes, finally the first.

L... "Salad for brekkie?!" - And why not?

Chicory, fresh mushrooms, tuna, olives, peppers, cucumber, radish, tomato... what more can you wish for, prepared the evening before whilst watching... The Simpsons, of course.

What´s your typical breakfast?
One and a minipli sessions of training. Arm started hurting 😒

Thursday: I think I have a Sister "from East Germany" (who lives only a couple of streets away "in West Germany"). K´s all in for women´s rights and even genderizing, but insists like me on being addressed Diplom-Ingenieur, not Diplom-Ingenieurin!
Think that´s because our generation still lives in a men´s world, what do you think?
Well, actually it does not matter what you think* - Angela Merkel, ever-lasting ex-chancellor threw this title out anyways.
Sad, isn´t it?

Friday: Super-sweet surprise call from C! How I am etc, he has a supergreat project, it was so exciting and fun and all this in a (hope he does not read in here) sexy Northern-German accent.
Loads of holiday-suggestions, too!
He called shortly after 06:00 a.m. and really asked when I finish work for the day!!!
Also said this is his last job.
I reminded him we likely work till we´re 72. He said he is "old", 57 - hahaha...

Then long (rather private) teams chit-chat with K, L texted, then J, both back and forth and when I had a quick lunch teamleader C called > food cold, but who cares.

Ergo, munch-wise:

One of the subjects: Where do I find the pics of the X-Mas party???
HA-HAAA - I was able to help - see my bosses here!

Bosses with name tags... who ever thought of that???

And who asked if I feel lonely???
I also got work done, just saying ;-)
#I-love-my-job 🥰

Weekend:
Saturday: Slept in - oh, this sad winter-weather!
Watched "FOOD FIGHT" and Ingo made the yummiest cake! Recipe to come on Thursday!
Sunday: Cold sausage with mustard for brekkie/brunch (Ingo let me sleep in again after I cuddled up!!!! See, we have 8kg-blankets each, so this is a task!).
Old-people-day, ack it´s nasty outside.
Advent 2nd!!! Time runs!

*CERTAINLY it DOES matter to me what you think. But in this case it´s really irrelevant, sadly...
My East-German T says: "Hätte, hätte Fahrradkette 🚲" for things that cannot be changed in the aftermath (East-German saying. "We" would say "Klappe zu, Affe  🙉 tot").
Either way, the Graduated Engineer is gone. We are dinosaurs...

Henry 🦁

Hey, fellow bloggers, have an easy-going pre-Christmas-time and a happy T-Day!

Oh, and CJ, thank you for pointing out the paw-teddy-bear!!!

I agree, Engineer is engineer, man or woman makes no difference. Love the Christmas party photos.
My breakfast is the same all year, hot porridge. Oats with water and a little milk, cinnamon and a bit of brown sugar, cooked in the microwave. I know a lot of people don't like it, but I do. And it keeps me going until mid afternoon, so I don't feel hungry and don't need lunch, though sometimes I eat a small lunch. I have the vegetables at dinner time. 6pm.

I'm glad I ate because you showed a LOT of food in your post this Tuesday. I'm really glad you shared your Santa mug again this week, because I doubt you noticed I saw it from last week. Never heard if strudel tea, but it sounds delicious.

Love the look of your salad, but the egg yolks don't look done to me. Ironic how some people like not done yolks.

Nice Ingo let you sleep in. So glad you are loving your job, too.

Thanks for sharing your food, your calendar, and your tea and Santa mug with us for T this Tuesday, dear Iris.

River, yes, well. I hope man and woman one day are really equal! I think we´re reachingg that goal!
The salad-colleague has very un-German porridge, too! :-)
But no lunch, nooooo....
Yupp. 6pm - when the news are on!

Elizabeth, now I am hungry ;-)
Santa is actually my tea-carrier all year long! I probably didn´t show too well or you all see him cause you were not that good over the year - KIDDING!

Thatßs no egg yolk, that is super-hot Mexican sauce on a piece of a mushroom ;-)
Yes to Ingo and this job! - to a great T-Day, dear host!

You are right about those cool tea bags. On a cold afternoon a cup of tea always tastes so good, especially if it is good tea- and festive certainly helps. I like your smiling brussels sprout, and I wish my veggies would smile at me. I can tell from your journal you had a good week since you have lots of smiling items. But I think you always like to share a smile with us. I hope you're having a super T day Iris. hugs-Erika

Erika, you made me think for sure. Yes. My Mom said I am a pessimist. I say I am a rationalist - and for sure I want to make you all smile as actually... I think positive.
Hugs to that!

Your tuna and veg salad looks very tempting, though I prefer sweeter breakfast food. Good luck with work!

Not into sweets so much here. Sadly?

Peanut butter on toast for breakfast is my thing. I don't think I could handle a salad that early in the day.

Iris Flavia said...

I had to throw out our Peanut butter as it was "too old"!

I don't eat breakfast at all, but the food looks good. I'll have an early lunch and join you ;) Tea is a cozy drink, more so than coffee, I think, even though I tend to drink coffee instead. Happy T Tuesday

I'm usually cold when I get up in the morning so I have porridge with blueberries, raisins and walnuts. It warms me up, then on to coffee or tea.

So right, man or woman it makes no difference. I really like the sound of your drink. Your journal pages are fabulous as always. All your dishes look so good too. Have a nice day today.

More often than not, my breakfasts tend to be sandwiches- peanut butter and jam.

What a fun read! The party photos are great. Not so great about your arm hurting though.

Salat zum Frühstück ist nix für mich, ich brauche morgens Brot und Kaffee. Und die Tageszeitung...

Breakfast, usually tea and toast. Unless we go out for breakfast and then eggs, pancakes, hashbrowns, muffins, bagels, and lots of food. I'm glad you liked finding out about the teddy paw. I was so charmed by the idea when I first heard about it, I had to pester Ink to let me look at his paws! 😺 Happy T Day

You can have anything you like for breakfast. I learnt that travelling the world. I'm like River, I like my porridge in the morning (If I have breakfast at all). Oats are slow burning carbs so I won't get hungry anytime soon. Your Winterstrudel tea sound lovely. What does it taste like? Of Winterstrudel of course, duh! But I don't know what that is so....
As for the gender distinction, It doesn't really matter does it. An engineer is an engineer.
Hugs,
Lisca
