T STands For This Crazy Week

With this Christmassy tea with milk I join Elizabeth´s T. Very yummy.

The journal:

Monday: At ESE, packing Advent-calendars.
See the drama here, if you like, it was hilarious! (Plus very beautiful early morning pics)

Tuesday: Wanted to get rid of an overripe banana. Compost bin frozen closed.
Still only 2 monitors.
K is tough, she really did come by push-bike! I nearly froze just walking to TU!
Boss did his lecture way too silent and the screen was too low, saw only half.
Don´t people test that before they "go life"?
At least very yummy food afterwards and we met colleagues who came all the way from Munich!
For a last warm tea before hopping on her push-bike K was on the swing and I was "at work" as Ingo joked.
Yes, that´s the downside of working from home - I hardly use the swing anymore...

...as I look at my workplace from there...

Wednesday: 08:00 a.m. I open the door and K, usually not on time is already there! Autobahn was closed, so we went over "snowy country roads" to Hanover.

After a late brekkie finally Banksy it was! After that we strolled over the very unspectacular Christmas market and headed to the zoo. It was bitterly cold, but fun anyways.
Rain/snow, I wanted to take my brolly with me. And forgot. Guess with what I ended up?

Big enough for 2 peeps, luckily. As K is much taller than me.. her job to carry it.
I think we have 7 or 8 brollies now!

Home via Autobahn > hectic and too fast for my liking, but at least it was WARM in the car!!!
Fun day!

Thursday: Big smile: Out of the blue colleague W said hi! He´s back at ALSTOM and happy and wanted to know how I´m doing and if we meet at the Christmas party.
I don´t go due to danger of catching COVID. But we´ll meet at the summer-party for sure (that´s the plan).
Went to the city and on the way back could not resist the smallest portion of Schmalzkuchen at the Christmas market. Makes three meals at least!
Hence, munch-wise:

"Art-wise":

Sneaked this into Ingo´s lunch box. Instead of -1C/30F we had 38C/100F back then.
And a rainbow, Ingo added...

Friday: Dr needed my blood. Left arm vein is no good so it´s always the right one.
"Sins in youth? You look like a junkie 😉!" (donated blood often, too).
Work - made bonus points at teamleader, still left with but two monitors.
It´s way too cold. Glad I skipped the X-mas-Party.
Instead last self-baked piece of onion cake and Ingo made the first Glühwein of the season.

Weekend: Saturday: Ingo, coming home from grocery-shopping, handing me a bag, " Be careful!" Yupp, these:

Jamie on TV. He starts explaining and mid-sentence... German speaker blurts in 😠
A tad late: Set up the scenes for the Back-To-The-Future-Advent-Calendar.

Sunday: "Bye, Elmo!"... "Nemo!!" - Cute movies again. Other... this was too much.

(Pic taken from the movie) 1999 we were in beautiful Broome indeed for weeks.
Who knew they took this...

Watched "Wolf Creek" I & II. Do not watch these. They are sick.  Dunno... bin? Don´t want a kid to find these. If you thought "Mad Max" is sick - this tops it. Aussies really have a weird sense of/for horror!
Have been at Wolfe Creek Meteorite Crater (with an "e"), twice... NO REASON to watch this.
Sickest is: You want to know how it ends. And esp part II is "narrated" in addition! All through the movie! I was exhausted!

Munch #2:

(And tea. Santa is with me always these days).

That is an adorable mug Iris. I love Santa's face.I'll be dashing through the snow this morning too. And am I reading it correctly, but this is your 10 year anniversary? If so, happy 10 years, and to many many more. You must be starting to count your weeks until you leave for Australia. The way time is flying it will be here before you know it. Have a great T day, and I hope no more dashing through the snow for either of us. hugs-Erika

I have had apple & ginger tea with a little honey, but never just apple. I don't think I would like that. I like your journal pages. You have a swing seat inside? I would love one if I had a porch big enough. My back porch would fit a small one, but it has cabinets that don't fit inside and all the cat stuff and there is no lighting at all.

William, nooooo.....

____

Carola, 18 Stunden!!! Himmelnein!
Ja, mein Fahrrad bleibt definitiv drin bei dem Wetter!
Verrückt, ich kann mich wirklich nicht erinnern, wann wir so früh Schnee hatten. Sonst ist das eher Februar!

____

River, baked apple is a bit sweeter - actually, maybe Ingo makes real Bratapfel come the holidays!
Yes, we have a swing, it can seat three people actually :-) Come for a visit and let´s swing (our balcony is too small for this).

Thanks for visiting for T this week. I am sorry to be late visiting, but I have just been released from the hospital where I have been since Monday night. Before you ask, I DO NOT have Covid. I will be back tomorrow to visit each person who dropped by this week.
