With sun out and warm temps I suddenly got very, very homesick.
Why the heck ever the new management gave us this paper even marking how to get to our cabin.
Pink line is by car and they even gave us each a card to get through the gate for in case friends wanna drive to our cabin!
We always met up front, of course, we have feet and can walk! But nice gesture.
And, really... #79 was our home already in 2013!!! No need to ... well ;-)
And we have a toilet in the cabin so the codes are luckily obsolete for us - and really... I had no desire to go in there!
1999 we got a space to park our car, in whom we lived (it was a Nissan Patrol LWB, a boy/man in my eyes, not a soul-less "it", a protector, rather) and we needed this "Ablution".
Gah. I prefer ... see next Sunday, if you like :-)
It was not only how some other females behaved, they played Elvis-songs non-stop!
Henry's 🦁 alter park ego, the lovely, chatty Australian Magpie:
Cute and curious - and brave - when not in breeding-season, that is!! If that time... oh, be careful! In those 6 weeks we were there you heard them chatting in the park a lot!
This is how (when having a dog as friend):
These birds can be disappointed, too!
Once a can of veggie-juice rolled under the car, so I went around to find it, somewhere in the Outback.
One of these followed and copied me and boy.... that look when I produced the can from under the car!!! 🤣 Dis-a-ppointment!
Great, now I´m even more homesick. Outback-homesick.
And two P.S.-es for River:
The ISBN is 978-1-78312-567-8, not scan-able as the price-tag was above!
See last post....
And...
And...
Right after I´m done with EUREKA - in which, and I didn´t register before - they even refer to this !

Hahaha, of course I'm up. Five o clock!!!
On a Sunday?! I slept in!
That magpie and dogs are the cutest. Just recently the wildlife dept in Queensland removed the magpie, because apparently they needed a licence to keep a wild bird. After much outcry, the owners and Dept are working to return the bird to the family and grieving dogs.
Yes, just look at Penguin!
I think these birds adapt pretty well, so why not "tame" them!
Ingo´s Dad rescued a "Common starling", Heini, he lived for twelve years and could talk!
"Komm her, komm her!" (come here, come here!") he said to the live worms he got.
He also knew Ingo´s Dad´s name (Peter) - I sadly never met the bird.
...I sept in this morning too. Iris, enjoy a wonderful week.
Thank you, Tom, to sweet dreams!
I just finished a book about a magpie. They are interesting birds! I like the map to your cabin -- very easy to find though you already knew the way!
Interesting memories.
Jeanie, Penguin? The Magpie? Love this book!
Yes, we sure do know the way :-)

Christine, well, thanks?
Enjoy your nice weather today, Iris. It is sunny here finally.
I understand that longing for a place that feels like home. Ireland does thst to me.
Loved that video of the magpie and dogs! How funny!
Finally two days without rain here. Dry enough to cut some of the grass, but rain is coming again all week. Ugh.
RedPat, yes to Spring!!!!

Sue, I´ve never been to Ireland and according to my ex-teamleader from ALSTOM I likely wouldn´t understand a word! ;-)
To better weather for you!
At least you have all these cool things to remind you of your home away from home.
Now, that is true! :-)
Thank you for the book covers, I will see if I can find copies here before asking my brother. Good bookshops may have them.
I loved watching the magpie and the digs, and hearing the magpie bark like a dog was funny.
Yes, I think you might find or simply order online?
The magpie is funny :-)
I found the books and will buy them next time I go into the city. Too expensive to add a delivery fee as well.
