Oh, boy, I spotted this sign at the Belgian in Perth.
I do admit... in Cuba I loved that. Once in 3 weeks.
And the chef hugged me big for the good-bye - in front of all people... how nice and embarrassing.
He was "black" (colored, whatever you name people of dark skin - actually I was colored I was...). I was red in my face of "shame" (I hate it when people look at me and everybody did! He was also very tall and me small... He did because they live of tips also and we made bow-ties and other origami of them and despite I never got anything from him other than "Wilbur" cause he used to make fish I every time said hello and good bye and most treated him like a "thing". He is the chef!!! He stands there every night and prepares food!!!)
I do eat meat. But....
Despite what happened in Madeley/Perth...
And another sign, I just checked e-mail. CEO#2 wrote there will be an opinion poll: "You are important to us" - see why I want to stay with ESE?
The mail ends with "Liebe Grüße, L and P". No Dr.- or whatever titles just the first names.
Germany lives behind a rock so this is really unusual.
At cgs I had to "earn" the casual "du" and first name...
This certainly is for Tom´s Signs2.
P.S. for Tom´s post on this:
We got him from our Naturehistorical Museum Baunschweig and named him... well, we are like the Duke Henry who named his Lion Henry.... "Zunge", "Tongue".
And if you are interested... another history-lesson here (or just scroll down).

Yummy pig roast -Sorry Wilbur -Christine cmlk79.blogspot.com
Wilbur is crying a wee bit ;-)
It's not Wilbur. It's the Little Piggy that went to market. I used to think in that rhyme the little piggy was going shopping 🤣 Zunge is very cute. You have the most fun and interesting decor.
I loved that book and cried so much when Charlotte died, Iris.
CJ, I don´t know the story of Little Piggy ... and it sounds as cute as Wilbur!
Zunge says thank you 😘

RedPat, yes, I cried, too, but two of her children stayed with Wilbur, remember?
Oh dear. I do like pork, but the poor pigs. What a conundrum!
About the chef, I guess in his country we Europeans are the colored... I would love to visit Cuba one day. David's posts have me so intrigued.
In West Virginia, we are huggers, so beware if you come here! It was so hard during Covid to not hug people. Oddly I don't like being the center of attention either, and yet for 25 years I went on stage to tell stories. Go figure. But for me, the story was the center of attention, I was just the conduit from the story to the listeners. Still, I never conquered stage fright.
Charlotte's Web is a beautiful story. Just love it.
I recall one my teacher reading Charlotte Web.
We like to eat meat but don't like to know how it got to our plates.
Sue, it is hard to ... I could not kill anyone...
In Germany "white" is most common - but yes, if you can, ,visit Cuba, I just hope it´s still llike how it was like kback then.
I learned the hugging-thing :-) It was not easy for an introvert like me! You really braved up with the story telling - I could never ... well, I´d had a hard time.

gigi, so yes!

Dora, it is a wonderful story.

magiceye, after I saw how poultries were treated I could not eat meat for 2 years...
I have never read Charlotte's Web nor seen the movie, maybe one day if it is on TV I will see it.
I never eat pork because I don't like the taste. I prefer beef and chicken when I eat meat.
There is a movie??? Aw.
You should go to Cuba - they have it only once on a three-week holiday and it is "to die for" - I had two helpings!!!
But, yes, we should not eat this meat as it´s too close to our DNA... I do very seldom and prefer chicken and beef, too.
I'm very behind I can see. One day I get busy...hopefully I'll be more on top of it all. And I love that name tongue for you little lizard. Hope you're week is going well. hugs-Erika
Isn't it wonderful to feel appreciated for work? And Charlotte's Web was one of my all-time favorite books!
