Don´t Judge Too fast

I have something else from FB  for you today:

"Damn, That's Interesting

Tonight I frustrated someone while driving.

They followed me to the gas station and had a few choice words for me.
I was really unsure what I did wrong.
I began to ask if he was ok and what was wrong and if there was anything I can do to make him less angry.

He stormed off and I wished him a good day. Typically this would not be my response, but as I’ve gotten older I’ve dedicated myself to “Seek to Understand”.

There was something else wrong, nothing I did driving could make him this angry.

45 minutes later I came out to my truck in the school parking lot to this note.

You never know what someone is going through. Seek to understand.”

Reckon the author rather spoke of such a "truck" we had, cause the one on top in a school parking lot is rather not really to be found...

And by chance a matching quote from this man:

"Albert Einstein's creative and brilliant quotes

To form an opinion

Few people are able to express opinions with equanimity that differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of even forming such an opinion."

The quote fits the story exactly

Many tmes I have said to people "you don't know what's in their mind or what else may be going on in their life, so don't judge too quickly, be nice." It's something I learned from my mum.

You were brave to get out of the car.

People don't take the time to discuss things, they erupt in anger. It's scary these days to even respond to such people.

Glad there are still nice, understanding ones (like us) and brave ones like that driver.
Never give up on being nice and understanding (to most).

I do like the photograph of Einstein you've included here.

All the best Jan

Yes. I always reminded my staff of that when a patron got upset over late fees on their library books. Usually there was some other stress in their lives that they brought in the door with them. Kindness and understanding go a long way to keeping peace.
