Wiki: "Brunonia is the symbolic national goddess of the Duchy and Free State of Braunschweig, derived from the Brunonen, among others. portrayed by Ernst Rietschel as the leader of the Braunschweig Quadriga, which has been standing on the reconstruction of the Braunschweig Castle in Braunschweig, which serves as a shopping center, since October 23, 2008."
Wiki: "There are five quadrigae in Germany, of which the Braunschweig one is by far the largest: the group, cast from silicon bronze between 2006 and 2008, weighs 25.8 tons and measures 9.50 meters at its highest point. Brunonia alone is 5.30 meters tall, the four draft horses are each 4.30 meters tall."
And my friend is nearly as tall as Ingo!!!
And still:
Henry 🦁 sends Granpa Max who belongs to the arm above (to the right):
Ingo left some footsteps, too. Tomorrow is his Birthday.
And again Albert is scary. Ingo is different, also. It might be a burden, it might be a joy, I don´t know how long I can still take it. If you don´t talk for days it breaks one´s heart. Mine is done.
Two posts today. This needed to get out.

...lots of history and Happy Birthday to Ingo!!!
Brunonia is magnificent! I only knew of the quadriga (I learned a new word, too) on top of the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin.
That is a huge and heavy statue.
Happy Birthday to Ingo.
I'm awestruck at this beautiful statue of Brunonia, who of course I had never heard of. But she is sure a great symbol for the people and probably has a story or two about her prowess.
I remember seeing that Quadriga when we visited Braunschweig in July 2022. Sorry you are going through some issues with Ingo. Message me if you need to chat xx
I love the art and architecture.
Thank you, Sami. We wanted to go to Wilhelmshaven today. I´ll be there on the street. If he is not... then I gave all I could. Did you go high up, too, to visit her?
Brunonia is quite a lady! Wow!
So sorry about your sadness, Iris. We go through not speaking times too, the result of being too much together. Sometimes silence can be healing. And we, your blog friends, are always here to listen and chat.
Yes - crazy it took me so long to brave up there....!
It is a great statue for sure. And Ingo a year older :-)
Thank you, the same to you!
A chaotic project that was!
Ha! Ours is taller! ;-)
Yes, she is huge indeed!!!
There was a 50%-chance that take a man. Yippeee for her!
There is quite some history to it.
Thank you, dear Sue!
