With this Springy drink I join Elizabeth´s T for her bEARTHday 🥰.
To our host and to Mother Earth.
"Less sugar, loads of taste" is a good motto, right?
Funny coincidence: "Pionier seit 1994" - that´s when Ingo and I became a couple...
I was doubting I am even German, maybe a mini-Bavarian is in me?
One thing is for sure: I will never visit "Oktoberfest" in Munich!
Did/do you plan to?
Tuesday: No!!!!!! (German nonsense) - At least I got a pic from fK from their holiday.
See. Not allowed to do sports. A pain on top. To the pain.
At least I got another health-issue under control, after months.
I pay health insurance, but this is "private", I pay extra and it is quite a lot. But it works!!!
Ask me via e-mail, but I don´t know if this is available outside Germany or how it´s named then.
After years I can eat and be free again.
Wednesday: PEANUT IS BACK!!!!
Yipeeeeee! ALL GOOD!!!! His fur is very dark, maybe a sign of age but weeee..... quick! Can jump like a youngster!
Didn´t see him (or her) for weeks and weeks.
Scary. Told fK via WhatsApp - her: "that is great! I just read about Squirrels".
How are the chances???? Karma must be real!
Thursday: Found out: I am on holiday!!! Nice!
Also I was so afraid I might´ve failed in studies, I did not check e-mail for days. How dumb!!!!
Got
this: "I also looked at your solution to the last practical exercise,
and I'm satisfied with it. You did a great job of marking the content
with the correct tags, so your XML document offers real added value over
plain text. That's exactly how it should be!"
>>>>> yippee, I passed!
DAYS of fear over this! How DUMB! Yippee, I passed!
Ingo, who refused to even discuss XML said he had a look the other day (...!!!) and still his opinion: Nonsense.
I hope I will never need to use this.
Not nonsense, just..... "unlucky" programming.Doc offered to see me on Sunday - he´s Greek and at home (Greece), a German would hardly do this - not on a Sunday!!!
Even in hospitals, on weekends there are near to no docs!
I painfully remember leaving Ingo there "for nothing". No doc for help, unless you really are about to die. And Dr. T. "Sunday?".
Really. Once Ingo needed a blood-transfusion, it took much longer than I remember mine (we both donated blood often, too).
It was a Friday, when I rushed Ingo to hospital. When done I was packing up. Nurse: "No!"
It took me over 30 minutes to find the doc who just said, "gefährlich", dangerous.
I asked in all the wee only three languages I speak, nothing else came about.
According to the complicated surname he was Polish or such.
Left Ingo there. Nothing dangerous happened. Same in your place? Weekends > no docs?
Gefährlich....
Friday: Dreamed of my parent´s home. My last supervisor (for XML, who wrote me a looooong, positive mail in real life) was there with her Hubby, explaining the mail. Ingo was there, also. As he was in real life. Our Mom was a so called "messie-syndrome", my Brother never invited friends out of shame in real life. They all smoked in my dream (?).
Weekend: Saturday: Bed, my body hurt. Reckon Ingo tried fried potatoes first time since 2008.
Heard him puking.
Darn pancreas-thing.
Sunday: Slept in. Ingo unwell. Some Happy Easter (not that we celebrate). Will "have to" go to church, though, in May. And drive a car. Niece said she wants me to attend her "confirmation".
Friend fK will do a test-drive with me.
ARMIN IS BACK!!!!! And so young!!!
My childhood-hero!
Munchy...
As fK´s friend thinks I am starving - we met!!!! I do NOT look like starving! ... I have sooooo much Vegemite she bought for me... and no one but me likes it!
It´s healthy. Loads of vitamin B12. (you just need a weeeeee bit!).
In case you are wondering I say friend: They could marry, and they love each other.
Whilst when one of us passes, Ingo or I, the other has benefits (Ingo is male), no benefits for ss-marriages, hence no point. Or a silent protest from their side... Germany is half behind a rock. Allowed but no benefits. A shame.
The new series:
"Typical habits of the 60s that would be unimaginable today
Airport security only became a major issue in the 1970s, after a series of airline hijackings became public. In the 1960s, passengers were allowed to take almost anything on board without extensive screening. Metal detectors and regular bag searches had not yet been introduced.
These days. Crazy.
I wonder when you can claim it is sexual harassment - Ingo can touch me like that but not some woman! Also... you can STILL sneak in something dangerous.
Can someone invent beaming for real now???
In German he is called "Pille" btw, "pill". See why I want the original always (as long as English, and "ONCE upon a time" is British, oh, that accent!!! Ohhhh... like Saxon, söööö)
How boring would life be without accents - any thought of you?
My ALSTOM-teamleader went to Ireland to learn better English.
We had a good laugh!
A Scottish biker came to Bro´s shop.
Huh???? I found out at least what the man wanted (and Bro did not have it) - the dude looked ... Hell´s Angels came to mind (an Angel?)...

Accents are hard to understand sometimes, but life would be so boring if everyone spoke the same. I like hearing accents.
I'm sorry people there with same sex marriages are allowed but don't get the benefits of "regular" marriages. I am also sorry you don't have enough doctors always available. Here, people say there are not enough, but really we have plenty, but they get very busy and people have to wait their turn and some get angry at this. So silly to get angry, just wait your turn and don't complain. Sadly too many people here don't want to pay the fee and go to hospitals for free, but then the waiting rooms there get packed with people who really don't need to be there.
Sorry Ingo can't eat fried potatoes. Raspberry and plum together also is great as jam.
...keep your brain working, few do these days.
Hurrah for the good news. Congrats on passing your test. And I'm glad Peanut is back too. He's awfully cute in your drawing. It sounds like it wasn't a bad week, and hopefully this week is going well too. Happy T day. hugs-Erika
Well done on the XML and passing your tests, I would love beam me up transport too, how cool that would be and also so efficient, probably environmentally friendly too!
We hardly ever get to see a doctor now, lots more done by nurses. When I hurt my knee we had to wait over 5 hours in emergency, full waiting room, only if you are bleeding heavily do they take you in quicker lol. Hope you had a good week Iris, happy Tea Day!
So glad to read you passed and such a positive teacher's response. Nice to see Peanut is back. Maybe he was making baby peanuts. Keep your rain working, Iris.
Thank for sharing your cheerful calendar and your raspberry plum drink with us for T this Tuesday, dear.
oh and I just got back from reading the link about messie syndrome. I suspected it might be hoarding syndrome, yup, it is. I feel like I have a bit of that, I need to get rid of all this clutter!
Hurray for your test results, Iris. I hate the ordeal of flying today.
Just Knew You Would Pass And Happy Earth Day From Colorado
Stay Strong ,
Cheers
Such a fun and fabulous week! I loved hearing that Peanut is back and wouldn't it be fun to be able to say "beam us up Scotty" and it to be real - how amazing would that be 😊. Happy T Day wishes! Hugs, Jo x
Congratulations on passing the tests! Well done. And also it's great that Peanut is back. Do squirrels hibernate?
Your drink looks nice. It's the sort of thing I would choose. Low sugar, big taste.
Oh how wonderful would it be to be able to say 'Beam me up!'.
Happy T-Day,
Lisca
I'm just delighted that you passed the test! Congratulations! And your drawing of Peanut is adorable. I'm glad he's back. It's not always easy to get a new regular doc here, but once you have one, it is pretty easy to get a referral to a specialist. Itsounds more challenging where you are.
Congrats on passing the test.
I had/have a crush on Bones. Interesting his name was translated as Pille. In English being a pill is being a pain the ( * ). Bones could be cranky. Is that why Pille and not Knochen? I'll skip the Vegemite, but your drink sounds interesting. Happy T Day
Congrats on passing! -Christine cmlk79.blogspot.com
Accents are fun, language is life. I have an accent, too, and it was well understood, see blog-title. Italian guy Nico 20 years later smiled BIG when my Mum ordered "One ten without ham" - that did not exist anymore, but he happily made it for me. "Can get cold, goes to Braunschweig, right?"
Doctors here are underpayed and bureaucracy is a real problem, too.
My "super-doc" said sorry, he only takes in private patients and that is really over my top...
There is so much Ingo cannot have. I can, very frustrating... But things could be much worse, huh...
I always do, Tom. Sometimes I want boredom...
Yes, it was a good week indeed!!! Hugs!
One of my teamleaders was afraid of driving the car but freaked out about the idea of beaming. We had "panic-rides" with me driving up front.... please, beaming!!!
Oh, yes. When I had to rush Ingo to hospital Joondalup/Perth we waited for hours, too. I really had to get a bit BOOM to make them take him in...
OK, dear Birthday.-girl. Here I sit, all by myself, "laughing out loud" on Peanut´s making babies as explanation!!!! I´ll give him a thumbs up next time!
Mom was a child of war. There were tea-bags under egg-shells, covered by empty bags of frozen peas... it was bad.
Thank you and so YES, RedPat!!! If at least flying was safer. Is not. Take the bus and get attacked with an axe... Weird times.
Thank you, Padre, I knew not, I was very afraid.... But... yippeee and cheers!
Oh, just imagine!!! I think internet and blogging is the first step to beaming? 🥰
My parents were children of war too, but didn't become hoarders like some did, instead meals were stretched out to last as long as possible, soups especially had extra water and noodles added a bit every day so we were eating soup on Friday that was made on Sunday from leftovers from Saturday. Usually by Tuesday or Wednesday the soup was really awful and I refused to eat it, so had only bread and jam for dinner.
Thank you on ohhh... the tests will go on!
No idea if squirrels hibernate, our hosts explanation of making babies is more fun! To beaming - if only via blogger for now
Thank you - I think I knew too much from other syntax-languages and got confused... And YES to Peanut! Doctors are a real problem here. They are allowed to "refuse" to take new patients, and they have to do that...
Thank you. I am SO relieved!
Blogger has the hiccups again, I cannot answer where I want to. @River, yes, the food-thingy came on top. I can not throw away food that is still "somehow" OK. Ingo and I fight often over this...
I think the word Knochen would´ve been "unlucky" Many cannot even pronounce this. An "n" after a "k" .... took my Brother ages to "perform" this. I think he still has difficulties!!! Also it does not sound nice - you would not have a crush on him! 😍
Thank you, I am SO GLAD!
Glad your studies are going well and Peanut is back-they are fun to watch.enjoy seeing your journal pages-thank you so much for the slow mail-received it yesterday happy to see Henry as well-hugs
