Here is more of Wendy´s wonderful art.
Whilst Ingo and G went crazy taking pics of a huge spider, P and I quickly moved on.
Then P said, "shhhhht, ... look!"
He really gave his best, but I did not spot this bird and even doubted P!
We were hungry and thirsty and sat down in the nearby pub.
In many Aussie pubs you get your drinks yourself, so P went and then mimicked me to come over - thought he needs help, but no - he pointed me to the window.
No lille blue bird. Again!
He tipped me on the shoulder to turn around, grinning like a seven-year-old. On the flat screen: The Simpsons and HA!!!!
I could identify the episode at once!
And certainly told him, beers in hand, G heard me blabbering about and just rolled her eyes.
Their daughter is a fan as huge as me and often they have to endure the "like at The Simpsons..." from both of us.
In Ps defense:
The series:
"Are these the worst decisions in history? No fewer than 12 different publishers rejected J.K. Rowling's novel "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" before Bloomsbury accepted the manuscript. Only 500 copies were published, of which 200 were paperback proofs and 300 were hardcovers. A first edition (pictured) of the book is worth thousands today."

The superb fairywren is absolutely stunning, especially the male's vibrant blue. I'd love to see one in person someday!
I’m with Shiju … I would love to see that bird!
Hello Iris,
I love Wendy's art, the critters are both cute and fun!
I would love to see the Fairy Wren, it is a beautiful bird.
MY hubby, son and I have all read the Harry Potter series when they came out. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, enjoy your day and happy weekend. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
I love those bright pieces today Iris. They scream Australia and they're love of bright. And I didn't know that about Harry Potter. Now it is such big industry in itself, never mind books. Happy Saturday. Hugs-Erika
All I can say is: Me, also!!!! I really never saw one...
What can I say.
I am glad I have at least the art and postcard...
And I have to admit... I have not read nor watched Harry Potter...
Her art is so happy! With that: Happy Saturday and hugs!
Happy Critter Day -- love Wendy's art and that bluebird is so pretty!
Hello Iris :)
The Kangaroo and Ostrich are delightful images, and I join the other bloggers in saying how much I would love to see the dainty Fairy Wren.
Have a great weekend Iris
All the best
Sonjia.

The art is really fun. I love the little blue bird! Hugs!
I love Wendy's art, Iris. That bird is so sweet.
More to come still!
Hi Sonjia, those are emus, this is Australia :-)
Either way, cute!
Yes, she is very talented!
And affordable, too!
Maybe I am lucky next time with the bird!
RedPat, yes!!!
Wendy's art is amazing and the wee blue bird is a cutie.
oh yes I've heard about spiders in Australia, apparently they can be huge but I'm like Ingo, if I see a decent sized one here I take a photo too.
Wendy's art is charming and my favorite is that small, blue bird.
I hope to see it next time for real!
They can be colorful, too, yellow-white and huuuuuge. 1995 I ran in fear!
So mean the bird was there and I failed to spot it!
So beautiful paintings! Gorgeous!
I Just Watched The Episode Where Bart Falls In Love While I Was Sipping My Morning Joe
Big Hugs ,
Cheers
She´s a great artist!
With Shauna? Cheers to that, big hugs!
I have never seen a blue fairy wren, or any tiny coloured birds. The rainbow lorikeets are much bigger.
A Harry Potter is worth thousands?? Wow. I remember a grandson who started reading the first one at age seven and he was "hooked" and couldn't wait for the next books each year.
I do like Wendy's art, the colours are so wonderfully vibrant.
All the best Jan
Iris, I just love this post. Wonderful.
Your colorful art is so uplifting. My favorite is the blue bird.
