Freddie´s "S" & Sunflowers

Just around the corner 🌻🌻🌻

My Dad loved these flowers...

Freddie (from the book Freddie Mercury A to Z):

To a wee bit of summer....

Tonight a docu on Queen will be on TV.
No idea if I can watch. It hurts when after the first few words a German speaker interrupts to translate.
A pain. You cannot hear Freddie anymore, just the German speaker.

Dubbing is a pain I agree. In Denmark only things for illiterate - small children mostly - are dubbed. The rest, all movies, whatever their language of origin - are texted instead. I really love this, and I had trouble not laughing aloud in Germany watching some western sheriff hero: "Hände hoch, was ist los im Gasthaus!" (Hands up! What's happening in the inn?) or even worse Olsen Banden speaking German :)
On the other hand, my family was watching all sighter Lord of the Rings in the cinema in German, and my children understood this way better than the texted version. So, pros and cons all around.

no captchas today

Those captchas I have no influence on... sorry..

Yes. We watched a movie in Italian, English subtitles, German speaking.
So crazy. But since I don´t speak Italian, ... I just watched a (Na#i-) movie - Life Is Beautiful, in Broome, in Sun Pictures, the oldest open air cinema in the WORLD!.

Don't you just love sunflowers? I think they are so symbolic of late summer, but so happy too. Nice finds Iris!

The Sunflowers capture a bit of summer even if you didn't have one. ;-)

My sunflowers are small and wild and not yet in bloom. I'll enjoy yours in the meantime :)
