On the way to the bakery to get Ingo´s bread on Monday I met a cousin of Peanut, quite in distress, under a tree.
He likely burried nuts there, but they were GONE!!!
Maybe he (or she) just remembered the coordinates but not if up or down?

I felt so sorry for the (very quick) lille fella.
Nononono, don´t go there! They have spinifex, but no nuts in that area (likely no crocs, either, a tad too dry for them. Go to Broome or Darwin, for example to see them (great NPs!). Oh, or Perth, the Zoo has a giant one! And a brand new baby, wish I could visit!)
This "grass" shown on the cover of the book just looks nice. It hurts like hell. Just come over to our place, Peanut, I´ll give you walnuts, OK?
Too many books! Too many, finished a great one and started this yesterday - it was WARM, SUMMER and this book is hilarious!
I sat on the balcony laughing till it was too dark to read.

And yet it´s so wet our wooden floor came up so much I need POWER to open / close our condo-door. What happened? (I mean, I´m glad, they used to eat but me, Ingo´s blood must taste awful).

I didn´t like that song, either, but... despite it´s "old" it so into our sad times now.
So many, and that´s what the song is about, are under pressure, work-wise.
Not a Bowie fan, but they created a wise song that sadly never gets old...
awww cute squirrel, we just don't have them here.
I have no doubt that the squirrel will find lots of nuts to see the winter through, even if a few go missing now and then. He/she is not above pilfering from another's stash. Kudos to anyone who is planting trees. We need more and soon, as whole areas of the world continue to burn.
