We planned, INTRODUCED ourseselves, announced we´ll make noise and got the darn job done. In ONE PIECE.
I am about stomping up there. 5 hours randomly going on my nerves.
Silence for... having lunch? And then NOISE.
Pause (Ciggie?) NOISE...silence (another cigarette) - NOISE.
Really, take my advise... never buy a condo in a 14-party-plus house.
We have a fluctuation here, it´s plain crazy.
We live here since 2011 and had so many neighbours to the side, above, no one ever introduces himself anymore. Manners???
I don´t know what these are up to, I just go get bananas for Ingo.

The only noise in my building is when work is being done, and we are advised in advance.
Hopefully, your neighbors will be finished with their remodel soon.

We moved and glad we did. Quiet time is precious! So sorry to hear of your neighbor's issues effecting you. I am so happy we don't live in a situation like that anymore. We didn't have people in our building but we had construction going on across the street.
Sad people aren't as neighborly as once was.

Where I live (also since 2011) there are 110 flats and I still know only a few of the people. during my time here many have left and been replaced by others, some nice, some not. I just keep to myself mostly. any noise I hear is usually drunken fighting, but that is not so often now. People grow older and become more quiet. Yesterday here was so quiet it was like living alone in the middle of nowhere.
I'm super lucky. I've always owned a single family dwelling. Good luck with the noise, though.
I remember apartment living and the noise. Or even in a hotel. Sorry you have to deal with it Iris.
Sorry you are having noise problems with neighbours, hopefully things may quieten down.

I can relate. I remember sharing walls or a ceiling or a floor. It can be so annoying but all the more so with no warning!
