I´m Your Garbo

.. the end is... forget about that!
OK, let´s start at the beginning, shall we?
(Shave your face, garbo, now!!! (oh, how sweet is this detail!))

Ingo went grocery shopping.

Those "shops" copy Woolies & Co, you get toys there now, too (20 years later, haha, we are so advanced here in Germany):
And you know Ingo, he never grew up, call him Peter Pan.

Peter Pan with an attitude!

Really, tell me.. how is a child 3+ supposed to do this?!

Well, yes, I do my job, OK?!
It´s a tough job!
Fishy...

I mean, owww...

Why are some people this dumb?!
The.. yes..

Yours is much bigger!
Anyhows, oh.

 I need a break.

Sparkling wine, it seems to be!

Oh, it´s...

Wherever I go, my job is...

But I come back, do I...

Nonono, don´t - we need you!
Mind you, I met a very sexy colleague of yours. He stood proud on the vehicle - he was shaved, too!! - Flirting along, a sweet moment - and!
Another one, a beautiful, blonde woman, sexy, smiling friendly - hey, you "garbos". We love ya.

If you´re not into Aussie lingo (as me in railway) ... here is a hint:

You might understand how often I stood there thinking, "huh?"
And since most I learned via WhatsApp I learned to write it differently, like "brekkie", not "brekky".
And at one point I thought "arvo" is a person, LOL. "Whom are we to meet" was probably the dumbest answer I gave 🤣
Henry 🦁

I think we´ll need an "army" of you, and construction workers for... 🌻💙💛
Hopefully soon!!!

If life was but a game...

The Aussie boys were funny, although there were some in there I have never heard and I have lived here since 1953. Most were "spot on" though, which means correct.
I love the Lego Garbo and the little story you made :)

Bertiebo, yes, we need some fun, huh. and now when or if you go you know what the mates talk about :-)

River, I indeed have heard/read many of them and more than once needed an explanation, LOL! Especially one friend treats me like a "fool" speaking extra clearly like... "um-brel-la"! on my asking what I should take along (brolly). And when he went to Maccas I was clueless too (he introduced us to Grill´d - who in the world thinks of McDonalds then?!).

Now, when you said Garbo, I thought you meant you wanted to be alone. Like the film star Greta Garbo! 😸Yes, I'm old. 🤣Send Garbo here, I could use help cleaning up the studio!

..Ingo has more patience than I do!

I’m with CJ — thinking of THE Garbo — Greta. But I love the Lego figure. I have a Lego scuba diver, and some others somewhere. And I once went to LegoLand in Denmark and really loved it.

I love it when the hubby goes grocery shopping, except he often forgets something I asked for. But that's OK. Fun toy he found though. Happy new week! hugs-Erika

I really enjoyed the Aussie language lesson. And I was surpised that we actually use so many of those words. (hubby, brekkie, postie, footie, biccy, defo, dindins, breckers, agro, preggas, cozzie, mozzie, muso, cabby, lippy, cuppa, bevvy, fella, terps, ciggie, brickie, brollie, sickie, champers.) But I never knew they were australian.
Anyway, I had a right good giggle.
I like your Lego 'garbo' (no I hadn't heard that word).

Haha, the joys of language. I was once asked by a person travelling here what we meant when we said "spitting." To them it was that disgusting thing people do with their mouths, but we were referring to when it was trying to rain and we were getting little spots ("spitting") of rain!

I'm not sure your Woolworth is same that once was here in United States.

CJ, hups, THAT garbo never crossed my mind. Lingo, eh, I´m too deep into the Aussie one!
Garbo is on the way, mentally 😁

Tom, I had the patience to take the pics, some credits for me, too, I have to patience at all!

____

Mae, oh. I never was in Legoland, but have some pirates, too :-)

____

magiceye, thanks!

____

Bill, we all need fun, right!

____

Erika, with masks on we all forget stuff, don´t we... But great when they take off and do the job - hugs

____

RedPat, he did!

____

Lisca, really? I was... clueless when I first really met my Aussie friends! Literally. It was a "pain" ;-)

____

Margaret, LOL, I am warned. Yes, spitting is what you do on the sidewalk, and it´s prohibited, too, we have a magnet saying so!

____

Dora, we have your Woolworth now here. No food. Toys, kitchenware and stuff.

____

William, yes, fun is good.

Jan, yips :-)

It's like the Lego people and the lego toys, they are immensely popular here but its always boys and their toys.
