It´s...
I hated the movie Forrest Gump until... we saw it in the oldest open air cinema in the world, Sun Pictures in Broome.
I fell in love the moment Forrest stepped onto the verandah and looked up into the kitchy sky ... that blended into the Outback sky perfectly (this was 1995, there was no light-pollution).
Bro later was on holiday and found this t-shirt.
Sadly waaaay too large for me (and too small for Ingo) so in summer I wear it as PJ.
Forrest Gump (played by Tom Hanks) says “My mom always said life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get.”
All this came back to my mind when I saw the following at Erika´s - she included the cutest art, too and here is the song...
Well, it reminded me of the t-shirt.
It reminded me that my Brother really listens to what I say and tell.
That my parents planted me in front of the telly for The Muppet´s Show, thinking it was for kids.
I never got the jokes.
Green is as Green does, right?

Happy Sunday!
Vampire birds, huhhh....

Green is very cool! I knew right away that t-shirt had a Forrest Gump reference. I like that movie too. How old were you when you first saw the Muppet Show? Maybe my kids were older, because they loved the jokes. I wish it was still on TV now, so I could watch it all over again.
I have nothing at all with the Muppets. Never had either. But green... That's my favorite color and I love Forrest Gump!
River, dunno, I could sit by myself without knocking over, LOL.
No, I was maybe 3-4 years old and apart from Smörrebröd found nothing to be funny. I hated Piggy.

Bertiebo, same. Esp the end with the two Poppas I never got!
Good morning Iris, really enjoyed this post very much
I always loved Forrest Gump. Never was into muppets. Have a good day today, Iris.
I never saw Forrest Gump. My daughter always loved the muppets.
I hated Forrest Gump, and still do.
I enjoyed the movie, Forrest Gump. Box of chocolates. Makes me think of what my Brother and I did when my mother was given chocolates as a gift. To find the chocolate you liked best like the ones filled with caramel if you couldn't tell the shape right away like the ones filled with a cherry. You turned the chocolate over stuck in your finger in the bottom to see the filling. If it was something you liked, you ate the chocolate. If it had a filling you didn't like, you turned it over and put it back in the little paper so Ma wouldn't know you had poked fingers in the chocolate. Unlike Forrest, we always knew what we were going to get. 😸
I liked Forrest Gump. Those chocolate looks so mouth watering.
Coffee is on and stay safe
