"Murder on River Oker" is an event all through Summer and early Autumn.
My former-former company invited us to it.
You sit in a small boat and listen to true crime-stories whilst it´s getting dark...
It was... brutal, the Bleubeard, kinda, of Hanover, Fritz Haarmann.
Wiki says: "Friedrich Heinrich Karl "Fritz" Haarmann (25 October 1879 – 15 April 1925) was a German serial killer, known as the Butcher of Hanover, the Vampire of Hanover and the Wolf Man, who committed the sexual assault, murder, mutilation and dismemberment of at least twenty-four young men and boys between 1918 and 1924 in the city of Hanover."
Hanover is just around the corner...
Whilst we got read his story on the boat rain set in and we took a halt under one of the illuminated bridges.
Even more spooky.
And beautiful, the lights.
Sadly without our partners, so when we went back "on land" I had to walk all by myself through the now pitch-dark park home (just a lantern here and there) as most were there either by car - different direction, or, well, lived in the other direction.
Spooky³!!!
But, as you see, Bleubeard aka Fritz, is really no more cause I am here to tell about it!
The kid´s of Hanover likely forgot the scary rhyme about him, as I myself, luckily!
This is for Elle from Empire of the Cat with "Bleubeard".

...this would not be for me.
That sounds like a really entertaining way to hear horror stories — and in fact, real history that’s a horror story. We have a couple of serial killers on the loose in the US right now. And lots of history, too, controversially being covered by Hollywood. I can’t imagine walking alone in a park like that!

After hearing scary horror stories, I wouldn't dare walk home along.
Scary but what a good story. I don't know if I could do that or not. But your drawing is wonderful. That bridge and the red water-bone chilling That's because you drew it great Iris. Thanks for joining us for AJJ for Elle's challenge. I love how you are participating this month for certain! hugs-Erika
Oooh, cool setting for a spooky story. I think I would have run all the way home.
Too scary for me.
Very scary indeed!
That walk back would have been creepy but it sounds like a great event!
Tom, he is long gone.
But there always will be "followers"...

Mae, I am glad he is no more. But I have "weapons" for a resonn, if it´s a flashlight that goes so fast the other cannot see for a minute or two.
Park.. well, it was the shortest route!

Jeanie, yes to both!!!!
That type of event would be guaranteed to give me nightmares afterwards!
LOL, yes!!!! The way home was... quick. I practically RAN through the park.
I would be very quick to get home after a story like that. Lock all the doors and windows too. but then he only murdered young boys right? And I'm a girl. But still get home quick.
I would be petrified to walk home alone after hearing scary stories.
A real Jack the Ripper in Hanover too.
A lovely drawing Iris.
Hi Iris, that sounds deliciously spooky! That bleubeard though, sounds like a very nasty guy, 24 people!!! Don't envy you walking home alone after that event though! Thanks for joining me for the October theme at Art Journal Journey this month Elle/Empire of the Cat xx
