As I Write this it´s for October super-warm outside!!!!
Morning was so cold I kept my PJs on and wore my jeans over them.
Dumb idea when... (This is my entry to Elizabeth´s T of course) .... when...
Monday: Got Ingo´s bread and... boy, it was hot! (yesterday - the Monday before... brrrr). the workday was crazy. I learned so much again!
It´s like being back at uni!
Tuesday: Fun with someone from EHD India.
Oh, please, some chatting is allowed at times right?
Then... weeee. Our proofreader gave me a super-quick, very intense training in MS-
Word. By golly!!!! I learned so... you know... much.
Then Admin... oh, help, when am I supposed to actually work?!
I really start to wonder. Is it because I´m the only woman? Everybody cares so much!
Or because I always say "thank you"?
Some have no time and when I get a total halt to work ... I read (I still was at Schindler´s List, what a book - come on, others go for a smoke...).
No sport, blogging! Turns into some sport ;-) ...
Wednesday: May I brag a bit?
Meeting. Five men and newbie me (as inviting person). My suggestion was taken without question - felt sooo good.
Later meeting with to-be-teamleader... he took my suggestions, always said (he´s Brazilian) "very good", ended with I am always so nice and "Tschüssi, Ciao".
We will work together, leaving our initials with date.
All the time he went "oh, no, ohhh, so much, oh, nooo..." 🤣
Yes, I went through this for..."ever"!
The work is "oh, nooo" - the team is great.
Would you choose differently?
2 sessions of training, later sketching & blogging and boy, what a day.
I was still at "Schindler´s List"; I can not read it in the evening - I get bad dreams.
Most German people did not want to join the madness of WWII...
Thursday: Got a lot done at work, 2 sessions with D.
Friday: Morning started with CSI NY (I always watch on the right, private monitor, whilst checking posts on the left - I like the "scientific" approach of the series). Theme: Holocaust.
Whilst I later finished the book "Schindler´s List" - thankfully both end with hugs.
The theme stays with me - see, what Sami offered here.
So many people tried to help and really.
Jewish people never bothered anyone.
Just look to Cologne, Germany, it was in the news yesterday. The Muslim people make a lot of noise for everyone to hear when they want to pray. Why bother the others? Pray, be silent, no one would care.
Yelling?! Not welcomed.
Got a lot done and now I´m not only "nice", but "lieb", LOL! I translate it with "sweet-natured".
2 sessions with D.
Weekend:
The Jewish section, I really want to finish this in my head, I don´t want bad dreams no more.
The Jewish guy at the entrance asked if we were interested into music, also.
I payed the €2 pp so we went (Ingo had no interest in either, poor guy, that! At first InnoTrans, now this!!)
BUT! BUT!!!!!
I am way behind, I first want to show you the other museum, but think you will give up soon 🤣
As the Maus says, nighty-night, also to my food, darn , I need to eat up all the old stuff!
Last week (after the smelly spinach went to the bin...):
Henry 🦁
And I also join Elle again here.

You can brag a bit. I think you're doing a good job and they love you, that doesn't surprise me
Glad that you are doing a good job and everyone appreciates you. Plus you are also a fast learner. Is the gold piano in the museum?
Bertiebo, I was raised to never be proud of myself. So... this is kinda... my Mum would not appreciate...
____
Nancy, the piano is made 0f plexiglass! And produced here! And we saw the artist using a similar one here, too!
You just took away the surprise ;-)
Great to hear about your job success. I hope it keeps up just as happily, without unexpected changes.
best... mae at maefood.blogspot.com
Mae, yes. So far I work without getting money! Kinda. ALSTOM cannot pay any of us atm... it´s just a matter of... bureaucracy, yet... feels odd. (I will either way get money from ESE, who hired me).
I love your big red kettle, it looks like a toadstool. Sounds like you had another busy week. You probably know this but Schindler's List was written by an Aussie :) Happy T Day! Elle/EOTC xx
SO glad things are going well at work. Youo are proving your worth and you are being recognized for your efforts.
Nice that you gave us a choice of hot or cold drinks today. I am FREEZING, so will go for anything hot. Thanks for sharing these drink choices with us for T this Tuesday, dear Iris.
Elle, yes, I knew that - yet, I don´t wanna see the movie - have you? The book was brutal enough...
Yet... happy T-Day! xx

Elizabeth, it´s cold today here, too!
This is the best ... one of the best jobs I ever had!
I am thankful!
Another busy week. So nice to hear you enjoy your job and the people you work with. So many people are in jobs they have to drag themselves every day to do. I didn't read "Schindler's List" buy saw the movie. Very moving. I look forward to seeing your pictures from the museum. Happy T Day! Tschüssi, Ciao!
I hope you got some photos of the museum to share with us. It is always fun to see places that I can't go to. And nice journal pages too. Your weather sounds like ours, but at least I don't live where they had snow. It doesn't look like it is coming my way either-hurrah for that. Tea is good no matter what the weather-hot or cold. I hope all is well and happy T day Iris. Hugs-Erika
...never stop learning.
Learning is always so much fun! Our weather is getting into October cool.
I am so happy that people at your work are appreciating all of your good efforts. That makes all the difference. That piano is beautiful. Ohhh bean and bacon any time. Have a great day today, Iris.
CJ, yes, I had such a job, too. I was even aggressive cause I had a very terrible colleague. And got no help. I was too young!
The Jewish part of the museum was... a disappointment, sadly.
And... I don´t think I can stand the movie.
Yet, to a happy day and Tschüssi, Ciao! :-)
____
Erika, the photos are... well. I have no idea, really, what I did expect.
Actually not the truth, I saw enough of that on TV.
Snow?! Please not yet!!!!
Usually we get that come February.... One day, on Christmas Eve for the kids would be enough ;-) Hugs!
____
Tom, will never do!
Sadly I know too many who gave up ages ago...
____
Jackie, no learning, no ... oh, Alzheimer might be around the corner!
____
Nicole, YES to that! All of it! To a nice day :-)
Sounds like a supportive work environment. Nice! The beans and bacon look good. I need to add them to my weekly grocery list.
Yes to both :-)
Today I had Kaaspätlze (South German noodles) with bacon, eggs and cheese... hmmmmmm....
Yesterday , today and tomorrow.. first really cool Fall days here in west TX.. So i think HOT tea would be the order of the day Iris.. Although most days its iced tea.. The sunny is shining beautifully but cool... perfect! Happy T day Iris! Hugs! deb
Another busy week, not sure about PJs and jeans just yet ...lol 😊. So glad you settled into your new job so well and are appreciated for all your work! Henry looks very chilled and thoughtful today - roar! Happy T Day! Hugs Jo x
I have seen the movie, twice, once intentionally and once not. There are some scenes.... the whole thing is in black and white, Ralph Fiennes and Liam Neeson are good actors, and do a good job with their roles, but it is not a movie for entertainment. It reminds me of an episode of Seinfeld, if you ever saw that show? (Jerry Seinfeld is a Jewish American comedian) in one episode he takes his date to the movies, and it is Schindler's List, and he is seen making out during the movie, and his mother is horrified. How could you, she says! The clip is on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRu2DQb6n0E
Sounds like work is going great. Loved seeing your journaling from this past week.
Beans and bacon sound delicious!
Happy Tea Day,
Kate
Great that work is going so well for you. I used to watch CSI NY. I don't notice any re-runs of it ever, but they do have a new CSI Vegas that started this season. Happy T Day.
Bragging is allowed, you do a great job and they appreciate you.
I read Schindler's List many years ago and can't remember much of it. I may have to read it again.
I'm so happy about your job. It's a great fit!
Fabulous post and sketches. You sound as though you are doing a great job And enjoying it. We try not to have any food left- I've started putting small amounts of some foods we buy in bigger sizes into the freezer before it gets too old if I think we won't use it. Belated Happy T Day, Chrisx
