September 2007 - since 13 years we lived in a weekend-relationship, Ingo and I.
Luckily it was Ingo´s turn to stay with me in Braunschweig.
There were weather-warnings and Ingo´d turned off all electricity in his apartment in Rhüden, put the important stuff high up.
And then he said: "If my apartment floods a SECOND time, I´ll find a way so we live together in Braunschweig." (his workplace was in Rhüden)
Believe me.. last time it was maybe 5 cm.
I crossed my fingers the water will flood again.
Little did I know we were lucky being in my place!
Bro the next day called.
We went and saw, by golly. Furniture was moved by the water, it went as high as into the bathtub!
Flooding means, brown, stinky, dirty water and it took us a lot of time and work to finally live HEA (Happlily Ever After) - finally together in Braunschweig!
But we managed! 🥰

By golly, it´s fun to join you all, But... with work and training all I get is such a lumpy drawing, I am sorry!

...your 13 year relationship was amazing.
We are still together ;-)
What an experience.
What a horror story. At least it got Ingo to stay with you forever. ;-)
A memory you will always remember.
William, not to repeat - never again a weekend-relationship, time is too precious!

RedPat, things could´ve been worse. And all went well :-)
Bill, yes. And give advice to not put a job over love!
Flooding is stressful but it got you 2 together.
Yes. It was worth the trouble, and we were safe that night.
I guess that was a flood to be thankful for.
We have some flooded areas after lots and lots and lots ofrain the past 2 weeks.
Happily Ever After for such persons would be when it floods no more
Happy Friday
Much❤love
Floods are usually never good, but in this case it worked out well, didn't it? I'm glad the water brought you and Ingo together. Nice page today Iris. Thanks you for sharing for Elle's challenge. Hugs-Erika
It was meant to be Iris, and now you have your HEA. Thanks for joining me for the October theme at Art Journal Journey this month Elle/Empire of the Cat xx
What a great story, Iris -- and what an experience. For once, a flood worked out!
Oh I do love a HEA story and this is true too! Hugs, Chrisx
