Ingo got himself a new toy. Again.
Sits on his other toy, the billiard table.
Well here goes:
Asked Bro via Whats App if he still has my old vinyls, didn´t even get an answer.
Life is as it is.
His life must be so packed up I have no part in it no more.
And frankly... I am about giving up.
He can go to festivals and all, but the 60km to me are too much.
Unlike me he has a car. And a space to park it at home.
Sometimes you just cannot get back good times.
We used to be close... that goes for many. And it cannot always be but me trying.
Mamaaa... just killed a man... (myself)...
How about you?
Henry 🦁
Ingo does not understand.
It´s one thing to have a workload.
In a job you had for years and years.
It´s another when you have one with new stuff every day on top.
And when you´re not 20 anymore.
And had no holiday since November 2021.
It´s OK.
I am scared, frustrated and worn out.
But then I look at - for example - Ukraine, and know how good my life is, actually.
At times, though... I want to pack up for real and leave.
Respect to each other is what counts.
I learn a lot these days. Not all is good.
Addendum: A friend from Perth called via FB.
I at times would go down if it wasn´t for your help, Blogger or FB...
I thank you all - you are real, and this friend even is Ingo´s witness of marriage (she was supposed to be mine, but chaos took over).
We got married in Perth/Joondalup.
I miss you all so much.

I like Ingo's new toy. And you know, someday you might be close to your brother again. Or maybe not. My brother and I are so different. Sometime we are closer than others. It all depends. And I wonder now that my mother is gone, will we be close again? I don't know, but I can only wait and see. Have a great Sunday. hugs-Erika
Oh, Erika. I don´t know.
I am the older Sister, always had to take care of him (5 years difference).
He took care of me when moving, he is stronger, he helped, also renovating, we were a good team.
I took care of him in mental things.
His wife hates me.
And now he just leaves me, like Ingo (this weekend only?) does too.
I am exhausted, job wise, so much I never was before.
I could need a cuddle and find myself alone.
But a friend from far away called, was good!
I think Ingo's new toy is for you as much as it is for him and he played Queen for you! That's something you love and he knows that. This could be just one of many ways he can say "I understand and still love you", same with all the little things he buys, the flowers, the tram.
I have a few vinyl albums packed into a box in my shed, but no Queen. I know I have The Beatles Abbey Road album, a couple by Jon English, an Australian singer who died in 2016 and a couple of others I don't remember. But I don't have a record player, not even a place to put one.
Maybe you and your brother will be close again when you are both older, when his children are grown and don't need him as much. Same like my brother and me.
River, yes. But there are many facets in Ingo.
I suspect it´s his medication.
He can get real aggressive and he is much taller than me.
He can be the sweetest, caring, too,
You never know what you gonna get.
Bro, well, you are right.
I give up for now and am open if he makes contact.
Nothing more.
I think your life has been too busy lately, Iris and demanding in terms of work. But I don't think you'd be happier without those two men
Bertiebo, yes.
All I wish was more understanding from the one who is still around, and I get none.
I was always there... Spent the night by myself again. Hurts.
For my own sake I had to choose to cut my sisters out of my life.
...I gave up on vinyl years ago.
William. That is sad.
Very sad. But.. I kinda understand.
____
Tom, yes, it´s nonesense.
it is sad isn't it about families sometimes? my brother "dumped" Larry and I around 5 years ago now. I was always closer to my sister but we lost her from a car accident many many years ago. I have no children and neither does my brother so you would think he would enjoy staying close as we have no family left. He lives still in our home state of Indiana. I just don't concern myself with it anymore-it was his choice so I refuse to feel bad about it-hugs
Kathy, that is very sad. We have no kids, either, and reckon I´ll end up by myself.
My Brother did not really dump us, but he is just not there.
Actually the same.
You choose friends, you get family, right...
Yes we have a few friends that are like family-hugs
Lucky you!
Mine are too far away, so... practically I am on my own.
I feel pretty alone allot of times too, I pretty much do not go anywhere-since retirement-except to buy food. Larry not being well sleeps allot too I enjoy my crafts and reading.
It seems to be one of those days for a lot of people today. Hopefully tomorrow we all feel better.
I'm doing a Jamie dinner tonight.
The turntable is so cool! Men! They don't always get it about woman and work. He goes to work or works from home. When he's done for the day he clocks out. Plays on computer, watches tv. But women still have another full time job cleaning the house, meals, laundry, kids. Ok, maybe the guy cooks dinner. BFD. big deal, 😉 but the clean up will be left for the woman. As to family we were once close to, don't close the door. Keep calling, sending cards, invites even if they don't respond or attend. Like Erika said, you never know when they might come around again.
It's hard when you feel ignored. I don't communicate with my sisters anymore and when I did, I wouldn't hear anything. Now, it's up to them if they want to communicate. I have friends that I'm closer with than I am with my sisters. i gave my vinyl records years ago, got tied of carrying them around for years. I hope you will have a good week even though you will be busy.
Kathy, I´m sorry about that. But being sick and sleeping a lot hence is understandable. Here... aw, well.
____
RedPat, sad day, too? Oh, what did you cook/bake?
____
CJ, Ingo has do drive some 40km one way, I´m the one who has but 7 steps. Yet, that is no excuse. He does his job since ages...
But you are right cleaning etc is all on me, too. Or we live in chaos.
Family, yes, I keep my feet still.
____
Bill, sad to hear family is like that in many places. But I hence learn it´s "normal".
Yes, I agree, those vinyls... what for?! Eats up space we do not have....
