Today I want to join Rain's Thursday Art and Dinner Date with Christmas Cookies.
It´s dark here, I grabbed the wrong color and luckily showed Ingo - a "monster-cookie" I created!
Here is my second try, not so much better but then I was really done here - you get the idea?
Ingo´s idea was to show it bitten a bit off already, hmmm, can you see this?
All I had was a picture, for real I have but tea, Henry 🦁 disliked...
Dinner, hmmmm. Does it have to be late at night?
I tried this in the morning:
I have a (well many!) East-German colleagues and this one ordered Christmas-specialities from his home-town, Dresden.
I ordered 2*poppy, 2*baked apple.
I got 3*poppy and 1*apple. I love baked apple, how about you?
Ingo had opened up one poppy-Striezel and warned me: "only take a mini-piece, you well get sick otherwise, it is VERY sweet".
OMG, it was so sweet I tasted no poppy at all!
I gave W, our 85-y-o neighbor from Dresden one, he was happy, I have no feedback yet, the other I gave to K, also from East-Germany, she said it was yummy, not too sweet at all!
Tried the apple. Not sweet.
Beats me. I have no idea what happened!
Other we have loads of chocolate everywhere... I am not into sweets!
Christmas is "horrible", snack-wise, I had this instead, as "dinner" (OK, not really, but late whilst watching Jumanji):
Sounds icky, very icky, I admit, but you can catch me with nonsense like this, plus it was very yummy!!! I tried one for lunch and by the end of the day... all munched up - cheesy Christmas to you!
Off to make some tea now 🍵

Creative monster cookie art Iris and enjoy the desserts. -Christine cmlk79.blogspot.com
Cheesy feet?? That is so funny! Not much candy or sweets in our house sadly, since Larry is diabetic. Good for my figure, I guess!
I could tell what your drawn cookies were. And I have a question, why do you refer to people from the East as East Germans still? Is that because of the area they are from? I'm curious since the wall came down so many decades ago. Happy Thursday Iris. I'm glad you shared that cool Henry mug again too. hugs-Erika
Your drawn cookie is awesome! I love those windmill cookies. My Auntie, Ma's sister and our second mother, used to buy them for us all the time. So thank you for the sweet memory.
...have a happy cheesy feet day! ☃️ 🎄 ❄️ 🎅🏼
Christine, thank you - it really was an accident with the colors!
____
Sue, yes, you can "buy" me with such!
Ingo isn´t allowed sweets, either (actaully).
Yes, see the positive!
____
Erika, there are still many differences between East and West Germans/Germany. We overcame many, but our generation....
I´ll explain as if you wonder, many might!
____
CJ, you are welcome! I wasn´t sure but Ingo said the windmill is known everywhere for this cookie!
____
Tom, too late, all eaten up!!!
Your cookie monster turned out to be very creative😊
Those cheesy feet look yummy
Happy Holidays
Much♡love
Thank you for this taste of Christmas, friend. Aloha!
Funny name but I do like cheesy treats.
Oh, Baked Apples are out of this world.
Coffee is on.
Not sure about Cheesy Feet, but I do enjoy Cheesy Snacks occasionally.
All the best Jan
Ah, holiday sweets. So yummy!! Have a very Merry Christmas!
The Windmill biscuits! I remember them and had forgotten they were Speculaas. I see the bitten edge of the windmill vane in your drawing.
The Dresdner Striezel looks yummy.
Gillena, the accident says thank you ;-)
And the feet were great!!!
____
Cloudia, you are welcome, Aloha, anjoy your weather!
____
Bill, they were soooo yummy!
____
Was wäre das Leben ohne Käse?!
Euch auch wundervolle Weihnachten!
____
RedPat, yes to teh two first and oh the feet were soooo yummy - just ignore name and form ;-)
____
Dora, I hope - HA, good idea, I hope Ingo makes real baked apples "between the days"!
____
Jan, they were "great"! I need my cheese!
____
Spare Parts and Pics, a Happy, Merry Christmas to you, too!

River, I saw 2017 ot 19 that ALDI Joondalup had German Christmas sweets - maybe have a look? After all ALDI is German!
The Striezel, though... not again! ;-)
I love speculas. I also love that you draw from life -- something I don't do and shouldn't!
It's been a long while since I had those cookies.
Cheesy feet lol! Love that! Oh the windmill cookies, I remember those!
