Here, Fishy...

We´re are back at Caversham Wildlife Park and yes, seagulls!

I think it´s the same one, she lost her fish...

 Somehow many went hungry!
Unlike Hanover this was behind glass  and hence the not so good quality, but yes, this was actually about the penguins getting fed!

This one did NOT want to go into the water!

Just be a persistent Penguin and you get what you want! Be extra-cute, too!
Sorry I didn´t get a better quality for....

Hello Iris :=)
I loved all your photos even behind glass penguins in their tuxedos are always fun to see. The Black Swan is beautiful.
Have a great weekend
All the best

I'm not a bird expert by any means, but is your seagull a tern? I don't know actually, and now I am confused because the head looks a bit like a tern and the body like a seagull. But I know a penguin, and they are always such fun to watch. Happy weekend. hugs--Erika

Penguins are so cute. I just saw a news story yesterday about a gazillion Emperor Penguin chicks standing on an ice cliff that was around 700 ft high and getting ready to fledge in the ocean. One brave chick took the leap and then everyone else followed. Amazing.

Iris Flavia said...

Christine, yes :-)

____

CJ, the Emperors (my surname btw) are the tallest, these were the smallest:-)
And yes, they are brave!!! I´d never be the one to go first...

Zoo penguins are fun, but I would love to see them in the wild. We did see one penguin colony on an island near Argentina once, and a few in other places. But I would love to see more of them. I don’t think the Australian penguins are native to the part of the country that you visited.

Lavender Dreamer, this time I only saw them from far away, sadly.

Shiju Sugunan, it was a great fay!

Mae. they are native to Penguin Island, where Sami took us as wedding pressie in 2013 - it´s about 40 km north of Perth :-)

I have never seen penguins being fed but I have watched seals at the zoo and something at AQWA, I think manta rays were being fed while I watched.

Iris Flavia said...

Oh AQWA, yes, 2006! It was great but pretty expensive so we didn´t do it again. Nut it was great!
Now that you mention.... next time it´s on my list! We even took the Miele Bär!
