Let´s hop from Cottesloe to Freo, to Sail & Anchor...
At first I thought that lady is lonely, but no.
And a week later I sat there like that, too, without Ingo.
Sami´d dropped me off at the harbor and I went out and about on my own and after half a burger at Grill´d I went there to enjoy a refreshing beer - by myself and happy.
It was over 40C, the sun was shining, I enjoyed life. I was my own company and that was enough, do you know that feeling?
Earlier I always thought something terrible must´ve happened and felt sorry for people sitting like that, but with age I really do enjoy time on my own.
I had had brekkie with Ingo, Grace picked me up, we met Sami and had a great time and then... I needed some time just for myself - I am not lonely.
Somehow we didn´t visit Little Creatures this time and sadly Sail & Anchor did´t have it on tap that day, but don´t you just love how all the breweries work TOGETHER?
The beer-business is crazy in Freo.
One day they had a Honey-Beer - super-yummy. Next time... empty, gone...
Addendum: I can access Grill´d (oh, what a pain cause I can´t have it!)
Once, when I was still at cgs working for VW we were in the canteen and had Lamb.
I said, "hmmm, baby-sheep!".
The men laughed. The female secretary.... if looks could kill, I´d be dead.
She´d already eaten half of "the baby"...
I mean, really. Know what you consume, right?
Certainly, if I was to kill a little lamb to eat it I could never do that unless I really was about to starve, but you should know what you eat, even in a canteen...
I LOVE Grill´d - it´s not only their super-yummy LOCAL food, but also their concept:
"We’re big on giving back to the communities we’re part of and supporting issues that matter most to locals. To date, we’ve gifted over $7 million to 30,000+ local community groups, organisations and projects."
And YOU can help!

...the beer business is HUGE here, microbreweries are popping up everywhere. Lamb burgers not so much!!!
We also have lots of microbreweries in my area. And it's fun to try different brews. But I don't feel so lonely going out alone. Sometimes its great because I can do just exactly what I want to do. :) Happy rest of the your weekend Iris.
Tom, , that is GOOD :-)
With the microbreweries ....

Erika, yes, so much yum-fun! And only "alone" if you want to! Hugs to that!!
There are plenty of beers places around here that have a wide variety of local beers. I'll pass on the lamb burger.
Craft breweries are big business here too.
I rarely feel lonely as there is always something to occupy myself with even if it is just watching other people.
Yes I do know that feeling of being happy by myself, it's a good thing - can't say I've experienced 40 degree heat though.
Bill, great that little breweries get chances everywhere. I cannot imagine a lamb-burger, either.... but reckon I´d give it a go!

RedPat, it is good to be able to be happy like that - I hope my teamlead gets it one day, she´s always worried and hugs me as if I was a kid when I turn up in person, LOL...

Aimz, yay to being happy like that, but really, never 40C? I thought New Zealand gets hot, too?
I do know that feeling, having been alone for most of my life, until I had kids and again after they left home. I am happy with my own company and wonder why others assume lonely just because one sits alone.
I don't drink beer, so can't comment on any taste, but there are a LOT of different breweries in Australia. The BIG companies and a lot of smaller "craft beer" companies that all seem to be doing well.
