We had beer(s) at National Jürgens Brauerei last Thursday.
It´s a start up and you sit in a parking place.... but it´s fun and the beer is yummy!
With this I join Elizabeth´s T.
The journal:
Monday: Really?! 05-something a.m. they have ads for condoms on TV.
Reminded me of the B2E-project at VW. We had a "mini-e-bay", content NOT for kids, no 18+ content.
You were there with your real name. Longest porn-DVD-list I ever saw!!! Quite a hobby, huh? And I don´t wanna think about why he gave it up... Would you do that, with your real name at your employer???
Tuesday: The Ukrainian postie again. Now he always rings here cause I speak English.
I wonder how he manages otherwise or is it just a break he takes, like my tattoo-guy from New Zealand?
Heavy rain - Summer???
Met W (my Dad´s age), we chatted nearly an hour in the hall... asked him out and he happily said yes.
Brought the shovel into the cellar - main door closed. Compartment beside ours, door not closed, dark - strong BOOM-Boom-BOOM!!!
Threw the shovel in ours, closed the door, ran, left the main door open and rushed inside our condo. Try to run in flip flops up the stairs...
We live ground floor, the bumping sounds continued.
I was about calling the police cause sure as hell I will not investigate.
Being available always.
I start work at 06:00 a.m. and customer contacts me 7:15 p.m. ... and answers me in French. HA! Je´n parle!
Heavy rain and thunder again, some summer...
Wednesday: Had our gas boiler checked.
The man must LOVE his job! He was way too early (glad I work from home!), whistled and sang on the job, needed to go to his car and when leaving he said, "wow, your door sure is `sportive`!" As in it´s really hard to close cause the wooden floor swells up in summer as we live by river Oker. Gave him ten bucks and we both were happy. Sportive...
The Ukrainian postie... he rang our doorbell for help again.
TV-News: "It´s getting REALLY hot with 35C/95F". Hm, well... To me that´s finally a bit warm.
Thursday: Work and sport sums it up. And balcony time - it warmed up!!!
AND we... see first pic! A beer at the brewery.
What was a bit creepy.... the waitress remembered me. We haven´t been there in ages.
Friday: I made a man very happy on my day off.
Not what you think! Ingo´d ordered beer. The delivery man was soooo happy we live ground floor 😂 Sadly no pic of the delivery vehicle (a bike) cause the key was not available and this member came with his private car.
W suddenly popped up on our balcony - with Ingo - and a bouquet of cloves to say he´s sorry he didn´t join us yesterday.... (I went up 4th floor to ask and he forgot to tell me he is not allowed beer anymore, also he was tired as he´d just visited his late wife on the graveyard - he´s my Dad´s age who passed 22 years on this day).
Ingo on the way out: "Beware the step!" - W: "I am old, but not dumb 😉". W is such a cute man!
Weekend: Saturday: reading a bio of chef Anthony Bourdain on the balcony ... he got asked a question as young man, applying for a job:
"What do you know about me?" - he asked back and got the same question, seemingly, was honest and replied, "Next to nothing" - ....
That guy´d asked "What do you know about meat" he figured out later - and of that he knew a lot! He did not get that job... "It was not my finest hour", he wrote... oh, boy....
Oh,
boy. Young M again on third floor, his mother told him off and he
yelled, "fuck you, Mom, this shit always..." and was dragged inside. Reckon
he´s 7-8 years old now.
I would have no butt to sit on anymore if I threw that at my Mom...Sunday: Löwenzahn, Die Maus and the fairy tale - rain, thunder, we sat by the open balcony-door and enjoyed the show.
Munchy:
The dough is super-thin and like really hot, the sauce I made myself. YUM.
Henry 🦁 ... sends his East German cousin for a hello, sent to me by fK:
To a happy T-Day!

No rain so far in North Idaho this month.
Sunny here today, too :-)
Looks like a fabulous week with sunshiney days! I'd gladly join you for a beer - Prost 🍻 🍺. Glad blackie came to visit 😊. Happy T Tuesday wishes! Hugs, Jo x
Cheers to all that, Jo, hugs x
Good morning Iris, sounds like you have some summer days-finally. enjoyed reading your post and your journal pages-lovely flowers-Hellos to Ingo hugs enjoy your day
Thunder? It can be very alarming. A lightening bolt once hit the power pole in our back yard. You could smell the ozone.
best, mae at maefood.blogspot.com
Glad to hear Summer came back to you. The carnations W gave you are so pretty. He sounds like such a sweet man. Did you ever find out what the booming was? I wouldn't have gone to investigate either. Happy T Day
Oh, I forgot to add Ink used to sit at the table like that black cat. One of my favorite memories of Ink. Thank you
Your journal pages are always such fun to read, Iris. That cat wants pizza!
Exciting times for sure!
Kathy, 20C, raining, alas.... Hope Larry´s well? Hugs and to a good day, here afternoon already.

Mae, I love thunder and lighting - as long as we´re not hit.
We once were. Before leaving the hose I cut off all electricity. I was the only one who still had TV and internet....
____
CJ, Ingo thought maybe the noise came from outside. It was SCARY. I near-to-lost my hearing on the right, so I have difficulties to understand where noise exactly come from.
LOL, Cats are people, too, huh?
____
RedPat, thank you! Well, I´m sitting in West Germany, so... not a chance for Blacky...
I had a cat that loved raw potatoes. The other cats had to investigate what he was eating, sniffed it and then walked away. :) Nice journal entries today, they are fun to read.
Raw potatoes?! Funny! I´d walk away, too!
Late today because I had an 8 am appointment that lasted longer than I expected.
Loved seeing the calendar pages. Sorry about the BOOM! Lovely carnations from W. What a sweet man, Ingo looks good with the beer. Thanks for this amazing entry of your calendar, food, and beer for T this Tuesday, dear Iris.
Quite busy at your home this week! 95f is way too hot for me. I much prefer 70s.
Did you ever find out what the BOOM BOOM BOOM was??
Love those flowers. That was a sweet gift.
Raining here tonight, a pretty good rain that has lasted for about 20 minutes. I could cry from gratitude!
Dear Elizabeth, Oh, I hate those long appointments! I always take my kindle for in case. The BOOM was really scary and yes, W is the cutest! Thanks to you I do these calendar pages :-)
____
Sue, I am Australian-proofed, I love the heat.
I will likely not go into the cellar on my own again. It was super-scary cause with my near-deaf right ear I cannot specify where noise comes from... Ingo thinks the noise was outside, but we do not know. Scary.
Yes, the flowers make me smile still, sitting here by my PC. And we had rain and thunder and lightning yesterday again! But it cooled down....
So nice to catch up with you again Iris! Glad to hear your Summer is warming up! 'W' sounds nice. especially the flowers!! :) Hope you had a lovely T day! Hugs! deb
I'm glad you had a good week and that the weather has finally showed soime summer. Sorry about your boom-boom scare. Take a deep breath.
The carnations are so pretty.
Your pizza looks delicious. I might join you.
I recognized that brewery that you used to go to before Covid. Same beer?
Sorry I'm late. I have visitors and hardly a moment to myself.
Have a great weekend,
Lisca
