Mural taken at Perth international airport (or was it Singapore, I think it was Perth (2019)).
A mural is or can be a cry, in my humble opinion. For times having gone by. For freedom (of travel) we have lost.
I think two Chapeau claques could be found on my parent´s (now Brother´s attic), you might call them Opera hat - you kick the brim ét voilá - that flat thingy turns into such hat!
Are you ready for the Opera?
I´m not in Perth, as I should be RIGHT NOW. I´m stuck.
In snow and ice.
And loneliness, as many of you.
Marty???
Marty McFly????
He came to me and will stay the whole year.
Thanks to Grace you could see sexy firemen and -women every time, new ones every new month you entered our living-room for the last years, when I was not able to get one myself, visiting!
This time... thank you, postie, read the irony.
He (or she) forgot Grace´s mail, it got wet, glued and shrank (see firefighter 2020 underneath - can you somehow top that?! I´ll see "2020" all year if I leave that calendar underneath!).
At least!!!!
Marty was right there.
As in... when Grace got the calendar!
And certainly... Grace braved up and made him sign it for me 😍 (OK, see... these guys are nice, I braved up, also, 2016, after stomping on Ingo´s feet going backwards, thinking something bad has happened!!!
Who expects a fireman in more or less full gear in nearly 40C?!!!
Was like in Darwin in prison where they faked a prisoner´s escape and I went BACKWARDS!
Being the early birds, we were the first in there and poor Ingo(´s feet)... you get the picture.
Marty is stuck. I cannot open any other page - but!!!!
Lucky me!
My birthday was in January and Marty will give me a heart all January... year round!
My dear Perth-friends.
I miss you.
When can we meet again?
Have you EVER expected such craziness?
Everything closed, hard lockdown, we all go down the drain due to politicians failing.
And now even Perth in hard lockdown due to one man?! When will we be free again???
OH! If I could have done a better job, arrogant me? How about you? I guess... YES, we could have!
We would not have dressed up as Marty,... but kept the distance right from the beginning and Corinna would be under control.
It is the way it is and at least I have Marty, if not that dressed-up, happy pigeon...

oh yes firemen lol you would like it here in NZ then. The pigeon is an interesting subject, along with his shoes, hat, suitcase but I can't quite work out what's around his neck.
SO, you have such calendars, too? The pigeon has an old-fasfiond camera around the neck 😁
A Photographer Pigeon! I love it, what a great mural. Try not to pine so much for Perth. It will still be here when travel is available and you can see it online. Not quite the same thing, I know, but better than nothing.
Happy Birthdays, Iris.
Even though I don't know the date of your birthday in January but I don't miss to congratulate you.
Enjoy watching Marty's calendar happily
River, yes. But it´s so darn cold over here. I refuse to put the heating up as actually I should be at work/HAVE some work...

Himawan Sant, thank you for your wishes. Well I really cannot turn to February or any other month, buhuu!
Chapeau to whoever made that mural!
It's beautiful ... And the firefighter ... Well, you can dream that he will come to save you ...
Not you Iris, you have your firefighter ...
Have a beautiful day ... Is still snow there?
Ich hab dich liiiieb mein 🐘
xoxo
Ella 🤣
Luckily my firefighter is too old for the job, but reckon he could still help here!
A lille training would do him good, too (oh, did I say that?!).
Yup. Snow and ice. And I have to go and get his bread, 20+ minutes walk one way. You´re still snow-less?
Ich hab dich liiiieb mein 🦋!!!
xoxo
I get the feeling I've seen this mural in Perth, but can't place it.
What a pity about the ruined calendar...oh well Marty forever :)
Thanks for participating in Monday Murals Iris.
Perth got a shock with the 5 day lockdown, no transmission since April last year...hopefully all contained and we go back to normal next week! But of course as soon as the news was out Sunday afternoon, there was a panic rush to the shops and the toilet paper is all gone, and we can only maximum of 2 of certain things like milk, pasta, rice...
If you´ve seen the mural then it was ... oh, wait, you go via Singapore, too.
I can´t recall, think it was Perth.
Yes, Marty for 2021! If you meet him, say thank you, I see him every day, crumbled as he is!... Poor guy, that.
What is it with the toilet paper always?! I´ve seen this here, also!
Hope it´s only 5 days for you, but I got 2 notes from Transperth on my HUAWEI and an extra-note to just travel with mask and only if I really must.
The mural is beautiful!
It sings of travels...
Nice pictures. Love firemen of all kinds.
Nice mural, I like it.
gigi, We need to be thankful for them - glad mine is retired, though!

Bill, yips, full of promises.
That traveler pigeon is a great find on a wall. Look at the camera and suitcase! All set to fly. And look at us spending the year at home. 😏
Have a peaceful week, Iris. :)
Peaceful, well, today was a ride outside in the ice ;-)
I would be getting ready or actually heading out myself right now. Sad sad face for sure. But your calendar is really fun! More fun than pooping dogs-hee-hee. Happy new month Iris.
Or pigeons!... or seagulls, I saw a lot of bird.. animal .. oh, whatever poop! ;-)
The top hat is a nice touch.
Hi Iris
I think it is likely Perth as well - I don't recall seeing it in the Singapore airport before.
Keep safe and well.

William, fancy, huh.

Ju-Lyn, thank you, then Perth is is :-) I hope we can travel soon and I can make 100% sure.
LOVE the quirky bird.
It's definitely Perth Iris I took shots of it last year, very cool it is. So sorry the calender got wet burst least there's Marty 😉 Second day lockdown and no new cases, think it's going to be alright, fingers crossed 💛
Love the op hat and the shoes! That mural is a fun one and extremely well done.
I know what you mean about Perth. That's how I feel about both Londons (ONtario and England!)
What a fabulous pigeon with his little camera and shoes!
As for the firemen....HUBBA! HUBBA!
Feel free to share at My Corner of the World
Elizabeth, quirky is the right word! :-)

Grace, flying drives me nuts, hence I wasn´t sure, also this was after the marmalade-episode, argh!
Yes, sad about the calendar. I might open one moth a bit and then show, but can´t hang it, Marty will stay!
No more cases is good, here it´s still going up, up, up...
____
Jeanie, yes, the freedom of travel we always took for granted...
____
Betty, HUBBA! HUBBA! 😁 Well said!
I can't believe I am so far behind blogging. I love that mural. The hat, the shoes the artistry, just magnificent. Ohh yeah firemen!
