On Acupuncture - HONEST Bim-Bam

I had migraine.
Bad. Very bad.

In the week I studied, I was OK, functioning 100%.
Fridays I drove to Ingo, all good.
Saturday.
Migraine. Bad.

Puking, please no noise, no light - left side of my brain.

Sunday. Right side, same. EVERY.F... weekend.

It must´ve been the stress.

A friend of my Mum (actually an employee from the 70´s) suggested acupuncture.

I said, "no. I don´t believe in this. Needles, pffft."

But it went on and on and finally I gave in.

Dr. Glöckner. You know, like the "The Hunchback of Notre-Dame" (Glöckner is the one who rings the bells).
I went to school with his Son, Johannes.  Guess what mean kids do with THAT name?!
Jojo-BimBam.

He was a tiny boy, too.
His Dad, aka my doc, always told me of his Daughter! She is much younger than me and I never met her. It was a pain. A couple of times I told him... SON, not DAUGHTER but somehow... ?

I said, "now, how does acupuncture work?".
"No idea. I´ve been in China, learned from them, but honest? I have no idea."

OK. Be honest to me and I let you do the job.

If there was an accident somewhere he had to go, so sometimes you waited for HOURS.
It was worth it.

I am FREE!!!!

8 sessions once - as he didn´t know what exactly he was doing he once asked me, "here?".

"Hmmm?"

It was between my thumb and pointing finger.
He left (a session takes 20 minutes, he cannot sit with you).
My purse was on my lap, fell, and as reflex I tried to grab it - OUTCH!!!!

That nerve between did not think this was funny!
I didn´t scream, certainly.

Another time he forgot to take off three of these whipping needles from my forehead, neither did he  see this.
I thought, is this part of the program? Does he want me to drive to uni (50km) with that? When am I supposed to put them out and where to?!
We had a good laugh.

Oh, boy.

8 sessions. Then a pause of 1 year and another 4 sessions.
I.AM.FREE!!!!

Migraine is horrible. To you and your partner.
And this WORKED!

I never thanked him properly.
And I never met his Daughter...

But if you suffer this... give it a go.
It was a horrible time. And I am FREE. Trust this, give it a go.
No more puking, no more lying around in darkness and silence waiting for it to be over, KNOWING the other half of your brain will hurt the next day.

How it works? Who knows, who cares?

... and we say... YAY! To happiness and love, happy Valentine´s 🧡💖💖

I knew someone who had migraine issues her whole life.

...I have never had headaches, or much less migraines. Perhaps I have caused others to have them. I hope that you are enjoying a lovely day.

I haven't had a migraine for ages but I used to get them regularly. The acupuncture I have had on my shoulders by my physio, and you are right Iris it does work 💛 Hope you had a lovely Valentine's Day 💜

First Happy V-D to you. Hope Ingo does something nice for you. Come by my blog I have the meat department photos up. Now for migraine, I have had them since I was a very small child. It was horrible all my life. Many types of medications, injections in my temple, and finally a medication came out in the early 1990's called Relpax. It is an eletriptan. That saved my life. However, it was $100.00 a pill. Yep, that expensive. I got free samples from the doctor and the company that made it sent me coupons. Years later I got insurance but I still had to pay quite a bit for them last year they finally came out with a generic and I pay hardly anything for them now. As we get older the migraines go away but I still get them several times a month. That is better than several times a week. I hope you are feeling better.

Hurrah that it worked. Migraines are horrible. I've never tried acupuncture but was thinking about it for my hives. So glad to hear it gave you back some quality time. Have a great start to the new week iris. Hugs-Erika

That's really interesting. I've heard many people speak highly of accupuncture but usually for things like back or neurological pain. Good to know about migraines!

Oh my! Migranes!
I've known them since 4th grade -- no kidding. With the throwing up and not being able to stand light and sound all of that.
Never had them when I was pregnant -- both times. But I can't be pregnant all the time, no? :D :D

I've found some ways to keep it in control, these days. Nice to hear about acupuncture for Migranes. If they become frequent again, I'm going to try it. Thank you so much, Iris. :)
