Laugh Or Cry?

Job offers I get:

- fashion advisor (hahaha, I wear the very same stuff since years! I still have a t-shirt I bought at age 18, aka 31 years ago!)
- cleaning lady (ummm...no, my respect for them but I didn´t study 8 semesters for doing this)
- service technician for laser cutting (good thing I know so much about that! Not.)
- service technician for bending machines (yeah, ask me!)
- Analyst for rotor blades (at least Braunschweig, but....)
- Consultant for energy saving (Braunschweig, but, nah)
- Economics-Scientist....
- Service-
Consultant for VOLVO (??? Just because I drove a Volvo at times)
- Consultant in robotics
- validation
Consultant on train-technology (just cause I don´t drive a car anymore?!)
- Project manager in Photovoltaics...
- Vulnerability Management
- Cyber Risk Consultant
- Fire protection engineer (yes, Hubby was a firefighter, but nahhhh, I RUN!)
....

You get the picture?

Many jobs in Frankfurt, Berlin, Leipzig, Bonn... that might even fit.
13 years we had a weekend-relationship, I will NEVER do this again.

Criteria I gave:
Braunschweig, IT

We have two laser cutters here in our home, Ingo´s toys. (The Jobs were not in Braunschweig, but far away).
Frustrating times, and for too long.

Henry 🦁... he doesn´t feel like it.

Yeah, that's frustrating. I understand. But one day...

Hello,
Job hunting is not fun, good luck with your search.
Love the window reflection shot. Take care, enjoy your weekend!

...given the choice, always laugh!

I have also made the choice to prioritize quality of life over money in the past, even when things were pretty dire. I have not regretted it.

Covid doesn't help, either. I'm sorry it has been so hard to find something that's right. It probably makes sense to hold out for the right thing if you can, but I think I'd be taking anything just to have something different to do. But I hope the wait will be worth it with a really wonderful job. And sooner rather than later.

These times are tough for job seekers. Hopefully, the right job will find you.

That is an odd mix.

Maybe Cleaning Lady is beneath you, but you do what you need to to earn money, as I did for several years, cleaning dining rooms and toilets at a disabled workers facility. (I had rent to pay and kids to feed) And taking a "menial" job shows you are willing to work and can lead to a better offer. You might even meet nice people who may know of other jobs on offer somewhere else.

Fashion Advisor, Why Not - Service Tech, Could Lead To Potential Opportunities - Photovoltaics, Why Not, Not Like You Will Be There For A Decade - And Fire Protection Engineer, Bet Its A Righteous Outfit - Stay Strong

Cheers

My hubby and I did long distance for 5 years before wee got married. I don't blame you. And I love the style you could add with your old T shirts to be a fashion consultant. HA-HA-HA. I am like you and have clothes forever. If I like them I just keep wearing them until they are worn out a few decades later. But I had a student once who told me I was a funky dresser. What? I think I am pretty boring but guess not. So there is something to be said for wearing clothes for years.

Oh no! I can totally see why you get frustrated Iris. Just keep doing all the positive things you are doing, walking, trying new recipes, sketching etc and something will come you'll see 💙

Grace, I´ll try.
Many are doing even worse, I know that.

That is frustrating. You have kept a good attitude through all of this though. You know I am wishing you all the best.

Been there done that with job hunting. Here you actually make quite a bit of money for cleaning, upwards of $25 an hour, I clean old peoples houses for about that, it's good money, sometimes a job is better than nothing until something you want comes up.
