To Rainy Day People

So I went to the doc yesterday to get Ingo´s prescriptions.
Quite a way, nearly like to the bakery (no complaint!!!)
Happy Hat etc, etc, Gurri.

Some drops. Some more drops. More...
OK, wearing glasses this is actually not funny, but then... Gurri helps in the rain  and, really. And we even met a sibling!

And this, I don´t need!

Just why are so many people in the dark half of the year are wearing black?!
Car drivers do not see you, guys!!! Not in the dark at least, I know what I´m talking about, sadly. Boy, some freaked me out when I was still driving.

Reckon that´s why people smile or call me happily "Hello Fliegenpilz!" (fly agaric - brings kinda luck here).

I was kinda happy not having a brolly with me.

After the minus-temps  +8C felt warm and I enjoyed the raindrops on my face so immensly!!!
Like coming back to life.
It was wonderful. 😁πŸ₯°πŸŒ§πŸ’§

Not everything, though, reckon many did not expect rain!

Had a look, nothing for me. But this you find everywhere now, stuff people don´t need they put out front to take away for free. I´m not alone anymore πŸ˜€
(My T said it´s not OK, ha, is HE wrong, right?)

And guess!!! Can you believe what I found!!!!

Lille Rainy-Teddy sure would´ve loved to join her!

And in my head the song Bill sent me was playing, what a wonderful day is was yesterday!

This song really speaks to me.
My Brother says I always listen to all the bad things, like my T with icky divorce, then girlfriend dying so slowly of cancer etc, etc, I listened to my Brother, also!!  He says I should not.
But only this way I have two funny Nieces, right, and I listen to AL LOT OF FUN STUFF, too!

And maybe Ingo someday will understand why I listen to my Brother on the phone for 2+ hours sometimes... I just am a rainy day gal. We people do this.
And yes, especially with Ingo, health-wise I´... we´ve been down there, too.

Let´s pass on the love!!! I´m ready (really, listen to this very beautiful song and understand "us"). 😘

Well, and since our pharmacy didn´t have everything I wanted and since I got the wrong voucher for professional masks (you only pay €2, Ingo got that from his company) - I have to go again and HOPE or rather WAIT till it rains! Chances are good!

(Stupid, the staff didn´t see the date at first, either and printed the "wrong one" off already. Glad we know each other since 10+ years).

Henry 🦁? He was happiest and yelled in joy:

Forecast: snow. Yikes. And I still have some really beautiful pics of the last snow attack to show you soon. It  can be beautiful indeed, even ice.

I'm not that fond of rain. But sometimes... yes

It felt so soft and warm on the face. Beautiful. And a surprise!

Now I understand ...
It's raining, neighbor! ☂️ There was so much rain that the water in the rivers is large.
But starts with Saturday getting cold ..... even very cold! -3 during the day and -7 at night! Maybe it starts snowing here too ... Help me God!
Do you know why people wear black? For the same reason that she wears white in the summer! 🀣
It's the first time I hear this song, but I like it!
Have a nice Thursday!
Ich hab dich liiiieb mein Hathi!!!

Buuuut. Where is the logic with the colors?! 😲

Huuuhhh. -7. I wanna wear white right now, then, oh, yes, IF we get a good summer I´ll wear my wedding dress, it´s white (and but a summer´s dress). 🌞
Yes, I didn´t know the song before, either. But it explains a lot!
To a nice Thursday to you, too, let´s enjoy the rain before the cold bursts in!
Ich hab dich liiiieb mein πŸ¦‹!!!

Looks like cold and snow coming for us, but with the snow staying on the eastern side of the country.

Lots of people here wear hi-viz vests. It was startling when we first got here to see so many people walking and biking with them, but we soon learned that this is a wise thing to do!

Iris Flavia said...

Yes, wise thing with vests, I have one also! And many others, hence I wonder about the "men (and women) in black"!

...a fabulous tune, but a cold rain isn't my favorite though. Take care Uris and stay warm and dry!

We had a bad rain storm yesterday that caused some flooding. I prefer the sunshine and nice blue skies. I have never spent 2 hours on the phone. Wow!

Great photos of the rain I love rain too especially over ice or snow. We are getting more rain today. I slept in and was woken up by a loud lightening strike. Hubs told me he saw it hit something across the lake from us-and it was smoking-probably a tree-hopefully a tree.
enjoy your raining day hugs

gigi, you don´t have that brother of mine, LOL ;-)
I prefer sunshine, also, but rain over snow!

Ohhh, Kathy, the best way to wake up!! Kaboom (hope it was a tree!)

Sometimes a walk in the rain is perfect and it sounds like it was that for you! (Sometimes, not so much!) It sounds like a good trip!

I prefer a nice sunny day even if it is cold! We are at +2˚C and sunny - lovely!

Iris Flavia said...

Jeanie, it was wonderful!

RedPat, sunny is great, also!

Here we remain below freezing.

I almost always wear black.

We get sooooooooooo much rain here that it is not my favorite. I would like sunshine everyday. I really enjoyed this post and loved the song too. Have a nice evening.

I remember pluviophile. Rain is better than snow. But too much grey weather here lately. But nice rainy day photos, and it makes me think of spring. I can't wait for that.

I have forgotten what Gurri is.
I like rainy days too, except when I have washing that needs to be hung out. I could use the clothes dryer, but I like that warm sunshine fresh air smell for my sheets and pillowcases. for my clothes too, but more especially for the bedding.
It is raining here yesterday and today with cold winds blowing, I don't mind at all. Much better than the usual January heat.

I'd rather have snow than rain. Snow melts slowly and nourishes the soil. Rain saturates and runs off or into my basement! I'm glad rain in your world is making you happy. That is what is important. Hope your rainy day is making you very, very happy.

I like to hear the rain at night, that's the best time, makes you feel all snuggly and safe indoors, hopefully Spring will arrive soon for you.

Iris Flavia said...

Nicole, I prefer the sun mostly, also, but sometimes I looove the rain, seldom as we get it!

____

Erika, yes, can´t wait for spring, either!! Still have my "SUMMER"-sing on the window-sill untill I can replace it with the "SPRING" one!

____

River, this is Gurri :-)
3C here. I´d love your heat. Thankfully our wooden floor loves when I hang the laundry inside in winter as the heating takes away all the moisture.

No such "fancy" thing like a dryer here! ;-)
____

Elizabeth, hmmm, you are right, too. Snow is good for the soil.
But heck, not for me ;-) Or... is it? Let´s see!

____

Amy, yes! In Perth we can hear the rain, too (hahaha, when does it rain at this time of the year there!).
At my parent´s home I lived under the roof and loved to hear it, too. Now we live ground floor, nada. Sometimes I want to put a fake tin-roof on the balkony (but you´re not allowed to)
