Tiny Offering Help (No, Thanks :-) ...)

Ohhhh boy. Early morno, still dark. A man tried to park his car.
Into a pile of snow (pics from daytime).

I came back 5-8 minutes later, he was still at his job, despite -8C window down for a better view.
Small car.

So I asked if I can help, push the car?
He LOOKED at me.

LOL. In a very Russian-German accent he said, "thank you, no" (what did he think, I´m Hulk and push him into another car?! 🤣)
He then smiled, said he drove his wife to work and will manage, followed by another "thank you".

Well, reckon I´d been of no/minor help anyways. So... I walk... (easy here!!! Shovelled really free!)

(She´s wearing red, yay! Sister in mind!)
But, hey.
We offer help in these times, right? Went to ALDI for 07:02 a.m.and maaaan.

The darn snow so high, it was a work-out to get there. Skip LIDL!!! Still snowing.

It has it´s beautiful sides when you don´t have to drive a car, though.

Can you imagine the silence?
It´s wonderful!

You´re in a big city and there is.... nothing.
There is quiet.
The snow eats up the noise.

Until....
Let me give a vague guess.
30% of the people seem to not be able to stand the beautiful quiet. They blabber and blabber away on their dumb smartphones breaking the beauty.
What is it, why, just enjoy the stillness for once, how important or lonely or insecure can one be?!

Today: off to my other doc - wanted to go there yesterday, plan was:

Visit Henry and via that lille detour go to her.

Nah! It IS a workout, boy oh boy, how people love to live in snow-countries is a mystery to me, LOL!
This doc is even more far away from our bakery.

Ingo said I should stay home altogether.
I said, the body (and mind) needs to go outside, to which he replied: "Step onto the balcony then", and he was even kinda serious, too!

He´s the "bump" on the table, all cozy under the snow, but maybe how about...

No.
I´ll be again very careful, watch my step and do what other people do.
As long as I still can!

My body gives me ideas how it will be in the future. The darn scoliosis makes my back hurt on the left lower side quickly. I need to enjoy health as long as I can, right.

On the way to Henry I saw a man trying to help his wife to get the car going.
This time I just walked by, but, really. Didn´t feel good not offering help (there was no one else around, but with Corinna I´m not too keen to stand close to someone, puffing in an effort to get a car free...).

On the way home I saw two men helping another with the mats you have in the car putting those very close to the front wheels and pushing from the back. It worked.

This one will have a break...

(Pic from when we thought that was it with the snow. Insert hysterical laugh)

Let´s face it:
a) there are people who are willing to help
b) there are people willing to take help
c) it´s a (strong) men´s world!

In case you never met me: I´m not even 1,60m anymore, have a bad back and my right arm is down the drain more or less, also, LOL - me pushing a car really is a dumb idea ..

Or... is it?!
Sometimes a tiny push can make the difference!

Henry 🦁...

I hope his ears work fine - apart from me he had another visitor taking pics but he can´t see a thing these days, face full of snow and he´s so high up, no one can free his eyes  (he won´t bite, I promise, if you wanna try...?).
He looked a tad pis#ed...

Oh the memories this brings back :-) We used to have a BBQ during spring break every year when we lived in Fairbanks. That was in March and it was still winter. Bill would bundle up in his winter gear and fire up the grill. The dogs would help :-)

With colleagues/friends we used to have a BBQ shortly after New Years in the cold - no wrong weather, right, the right clothes you need, and the spirit (and some (warm/hot beer))! And fun!

Today is like spring. No wind, clearblue sky, and sun, warm sun. Today I love winter!

Oh my - that's a lot of snow. I'm particularly intrigued by the photo where you said the snow bumps were caused by wind. I've never seen that before! Really interesting.

...wow, what a winter wonderland or nightmare. Stay warm and safe.

Now that our really hot weather seems to be over, I think the heat came early this year, December instead of February. Looks like high 20's for the next few weeks, perfect.. so now I'm rethinking the snow, it looks like hard work and pretty messy! Still pretty though, perfect for a visit but not to live with 😉

Wow that is allot of snow. such a hassle when you are working or need to go to town. that was the first thing I loved when I retired from the phone co,I could stay put we Had to be there no matter what the weather was-I had some pretty scary drives to and from work back in the day.
stay safe and warm-hugs

I love it when it snows and I don't have to drive! You are so right about the world being quiet when it snows.

Wow you did get a lot of snow. I use to live 6 miles from a ski resort. The amount of snow we got was unbelievable. Some times we had snow into June. I don't want to live in snow country again. It is nice that you offer to help. We need to stay connected as much as we can with people. Ohhh I miss the silence. It is so loud where I live with traffic. Have a really wonderful day.

Oh, wow, that's a lot of snow! Very nice of you to offer to help out. I wish more people did that.

That's a lot of snow. Obviously that guy isn't used to winter driving nd parking. They do parking bans here, not letting people park on streets so they can plow. They must plow the streets, yes? I think you have more snow than we do, but we are suppose to get a big dumping early next week. Oh course, that can change. Stay warm. Hugs-Erika

why can't we get that snow here? I doubt anyone could push a car when it's that deeply snowed in.

Yikes! I will not complain about my snow -- which is NOTHING like that! That's really intense. I know what you mean about the quiet. I'm not out that much in winter but when I am, I notice. And even when not snow, sometimes walking home from Rick's late, it is so quiet -- I hear my footsteps and maybe a distant car. But not much!

The snow is pretty, like a marshmallow factory exploded and dumped all the marshmallow everywhere, but I'm gad I don't have to feel the cold or try to walk through it.

It been a while since I seen snow like that.
Coffee is on and stay safe

Sometimes I love that peace and quiet, but there always seems to be someone who wants to make a noise. I met a man once who couldn't stand the peace because it was "too quiet"!!

Bertiebo, lucky you! :-)

____

Susie, nature is an artist!

____

Tom, II can´t decide, either!

____

Grace, that´s COLD, "glad" Corinna blocked us, Id be soooo disappointed!
Yupp, messy. All the stones and mud you carry inside...

____

Kathy, yes, I did that over years, also, and now Ingo, no matter what we risk our lives for a stupid job!

____

Bill... I am careful, always ;-)

____

RedPat, yes, love the quiet!

____

Nicole, Oh, weee, all the tourists!!! Aprés-ski, HELP!!!!
Into June?! I´d get depressed!!!
Yes, I always offer help but admit I rip off a leg before I ask for some... Have a wonderful day, despite the weather, also.

____

Spare Parts and Pics, I did see people helping, right?
I always do, if tip-toeing to reach something for an even smaller person :-)

____

Erika, a Russian not used to snow? I might eventually doubt that ;-) Maybe that´s why he didn´t want help, he knew he cann do that?
You cannot ban parking space in such a manner - where should people leave their cars?
Yes, sorry, hope you get the next batch, we have enough!!! Hugs from here ;-)

____

Oh, Amy, if it was in my "might", I´d happily send it all over to you!
For the cars in the pics you need a shovel. The Russiann was early and wanted to get back into his former space, so that likely worked.

____

Jeanie, only every... couple of years we get that crazy.
And I really enjoy the silence!

____

River, if I was into sweets that would be such a nice thought!
Aw, well, you automatically walk yourself warm, LOL!

____

Dora, nothing like 1977/78 (yet).

____

Margaret, "too quiet". Sad, that man was "poor", really.
