A Wild Hunt...

I´m joining Elle from Empire of the Cat with "wild hunt" today.

2002... my right ankle hurt so much I could not fall asleep.
Doc #1... it´s too long, I had to go on a doc-hunt - each and every one had crazy, different ideas.

The worst was one who wanted to send me through MRT - asking if I have metal somewhere - earrings etc all gone, but I still have a titanium-"hosepipe" around the bone of my right upper arm.
That idiot said it can lead to 3-degree-burnings, but there is a panic-stop-button!

I wanted to cancel.
The way more clever nurse asked when the OP was and said there is no danger anymore.
Some "doctors"...

Long story short:
#11 asked me to just walk.
Back and forth.

Went away.
Came back with two old-fashioned body-scales, asked me to step on on each and balance the way I think I stand straight.

Yupp. Legs the same, hip uneven  - THAT WAS IT!!!

11 ... ELEVEN doctors!
Whilst working full time 40 km one way away.

Just 5 trainings every day and I am good!!!!

He helped me through years with different things, e.g. found out I have scoliosis in first degree and sadly now only - due to bureaucracy - he takes but private patients I don´t have the money for.

This is dedicated to good doctors, to Dr. B.

He always asked me about my stress-level, too.
Me: "..2?"
Him: "10+! - We need to do something!!!"

I think, if you meet me for real and think I am nervous... I am calm inside!

I was told I have one leg shorter than the other but I never remember which one, the difference is so tiny, maybe one centimetre. Less than half an inch. It doesn't bother me at all. But also I have "flat feet", very little arch, all my life, same as my mother.
I'm glad you persisted and went to so many doctors to find the cause of your pain.

Good you don´t have problems with it! Here it is but 5mm, but that did the trick to hurt like hell.
And still today the left ankle makes noises. (OK I got slack with that training, I admit!).

Symmetry is a myth where the human body is concerned. Me thinks.

Have a nice weekend.

Sharon, yes - these days doctors don´t take new patients anymore. They simply can´t!

That's a whole lot of doctors Iris. Wow. I also wondered about your arm to give you the titanium hosepipe. I do like your drawing, and I'm glad you shared it with us at AJJ for Elle's challenge. Good story too, but wow. 11 Doctors. Happy almost the weekend. hugs-Erika

Erika, yes, it was crazy and frustrating!

To a happy weekend, hugs!

What a wild hunt! I have similar issues and the only person to discover the problem was a chiropractor! Thanks for joining me for the October theme at Art Journal Journey this month Elle/Empire of the Cat xx

Now that's a fascinating way to tell and diagnose. Well done -- I'm just sorry it took so long and that he is too expensive for regular visits. Any chance you could do two or three just to get an idea or see if there are exercises that would help? Or once every couple of months? It might be worth it.

No. Doctors do not take new patients "atm" as they are full to the brim with patients and for now I am good (he might take me back - but not Ingo) - he told me what to do, right :-)
Ingo is another problem...

It is weird. You get no doc. You will end up in hospital.
It´s a shame.. shame on the rich politicians who do not even know the problem...

My body's oddity is that I can hear sounds below and above the normal range of humans.

That must be so annoying!!!! Not?
