Kiss Me, Thomas

At first I had no clue, but then remembered the reporter, who took pics for the lille newspaper. I hated this.
I grew up in  a small town.
My parents had their own business. My Dad was a watch-maker, optometrist, goldsmith and also took care of hearing aids, my Mum was a watch maker and learned the other stuff on the run.

Our name is Kaiser. Funny, huh. "Emperor". In a small town.

And I was not only the smallest, but the shyest kid in kindy.

So our teacher decided, to get better, I will be the princess in the play "Sleeping Beauty".
I was devastated!!
I had no text at all but two kids had to carry me outside at the end on a chair (wobbly experience!!) and I got to dance with the Prince .

He was my best friend, his name was Thomas, he made it all doable...

The rose-hedge grew over 100 years, right.
Guess who was the hedge.

My BIL!!!
I never knew, we were in different groups in kindy, but unlike me he took his job very serious, as Ingo told me.
He took the pappmache-hedge home and practiced in front of the mirror how a hedge grows, slowly, bit, by bit.

At that age - and still now!!! - I always wanted a cat. It never happened.

But I had many a Thomas in my life, one I have every day still.

None kissed me 🤣
But one sang the Russian alphabet to me!
And let me drive his brand new company car after I crashed mine and he took me to work and back two weeks!
Last day he RAN to his car and slipped into the passenger seat so I HAD to drive.
For in case I get scared... he is there.

Now you know why my Brother´s second name is Thomas, huh.

On his wedding the pastor - and this is no joke!!! - asked the to be bride if she will marry Thomas Kaiser.
FIL to be yelled, "now who is Thomas?!!!!"
Whoops. My bad 😂

Ha Ha, laughing at the FIL "now who is Thomas!"
In all my life I don't think I ever knew a Thomas.

WHAT???
No Thomas?
Also my name seems to be unknown in your country! On a bill I found "Irene"!
And never my name-tag...

Now that is QUITE the story Iris. I love the newspaper photo. I think the teacher was trying to help you out by not giving you any lines. You had the starring role, even if you didn't get a kiss. Probably just as well when you are little like that. But what a great story, and the kitty on the fence is a great drawing too. Perfect for Elle's challenge at AJJ. Thanks once again for joining us. And is Ingo allergic to cats? If not, it is never to late to get one. Happy new week and end of the weekend to you. Hugs-Erika

I love the story of you and the Prince and I laughed at the wedding comment. This is also a wonderful entry for Elle's theme at AJJ.

haha Iris that is such a sweet story. I love how you used real life for your fairytale and you even appeared in the newspaper. FIVE STARS for your fairytale, just brilliant. I also love your little kitty Thomas sketch too of course. Absolutely get a cat if you can, you won't regret it. They are great companions, especially when working from home as we both do. Thanks for joining me for the October theme at Art Journal Journey this month Elle/Empire of the Cat xx

William, yes...

____

Erika, it was total stress even without a lile! I was the "POI"!
Ingo is as allergeric to cats as my Mum was. They don´t like them.
They just never gave them a try (well, Ingo did. A frien´s cat in his car, loose, all the way to Spain!).
One day... hugs!

____

CJ, it was.. horrible! And my parents kept it! LOL...

_____

Sami, yes. I thought I must die right on the spot ;-)

____

Bill, "I can´t dance"! It was... bad... Thomas took over, of course!

____

RedPat, I want to be just hidden in my home ;-)

____

Elizabeth, oh. So sad I have no idea where my Prince is now! I not even know his surname...

____

Elle, I cannot make up things! Yet, when I tell a real story my Nieces always laugh. It´s a weird (sadly cat-less) world.
Teammates all over get bothered by their cats, LOL! Must be nice fun and love.

___

Dora, I always wear a watch, if a "fitness"-one...
