More on this later - first let us see with what I can join Elizabeth´s T, who makes me go for drinks I otherways would not care about ;-)
Was a yummy lemonade!!!!
And the journal, shall we...?
Monday: An unproductive work day.
No sport other than getting Ingo´s bread.
And, well. Ingo added a year to his life, of course!
I didn´t bake a cake, I hate sweets and Ingo isn´t allowed much due to doctor´s orders, so I bought but a YES-cake. Salted Caramel!
Boy, stops being funny, but as his Dad says, you can get old or... die. We chose the latter.
Tuesday: Speaking of.
Colleague AS needed to learn ACOMIS. By golly - why give me that job?! I´m a newbie, myself in this, and no one told me it´s about drawing documents, that differ mine.
Anyhows - we didn´t get it done cause no one told him he needs a certain macro and somehow the other program I had as backup didn´t work at his PC... we had to delay this after 60 minutes and he was like, "I thought it´s drag and drop". Nope. Why would life be easy? 🤣
At one point - he is no German, but speaks German - He went "20?"... "huh?" - "25?" "what?"... "30?!" (did I miss an auction or such?!) - finally: "How old are you?".
"50.". "WHAT?! You sound so young!"
He´s one year younger than me.
Honestly. Would I want to be 20 again?
No.
Would you?
As some of you asked if we have a Christmas Market in Braunschweig, here goes (yes):
"The Braunschweig Christmas market has a tradition of over 500 years. Due to the architectural ensemble on the "Traditionsinsel" around the Brunswick Cathedral, with Burgplatz, Dankwarderode Castle, the Huneborstel House, the Vieweg House and with the Brunswick Lion in its center ❣, the Brunswick market is considered one of the most beautiful and atmospheric in all of Germany and attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors every year; for example, in 2008 about 900,000 visitors came." (wiki)
Food-wise, hence:
Maybe this year again?
Wednesday: Work, fun at it, craziness and I started training again. Two sessions.
It´s cold.
Thursday: No sore muscles apart from the arms a wee bit from the added one-kg wrist-weights per wrist. Crazy!
Ex-teamleader T asked "toc-toc-toc?".
Usually the maintenance guy cleans the hall on Thursdays, for everyone to hear. Guess he´s on holiday.
Doesn´t matter. In neighbor´s garden craftsmen made enough noise.
They take a break? Wonderful! Neighbor above starts hammering. For crying out loud!
J and work-W were of great help and C promised help, too (it´s his job!).
Training against "noise-aggression"! Three sessions.
Friday: Worked 10 hours.
OK, minus a short lunch break, brekkie at work, though.
Got not done what I needed to, alas. But we worked out some problems, yippee.
+ three sessions of sport.
Weekend:
Saturday: College Footy on TV::
"What is Kentucky famous for?" - "... Fried Chicken?"
And guess - that was what I thought of all the game before! 🤣🤣🤣🏈🐓🍗
I made Soljanka. For we celebrated being one Germany.
Seriously... where would I be without my T?
I watched "Lost Places" - I love this!!! How about you?
I went into the old Sülte, a huge asylum, before it was torn down, and into a hut in a village, we found such old stuff, very cool. Back in the old days, of course.
Art-wise.. back to back... or forwards?
Henry 🦁
Pic taken by Ingo.
He is artistic - wish he would use his cam more often!!!
Gurri is out and off I go to LIDL now... for warmies to sleep in... brrrr....

Happy birthday to Ingo. The lemon, ginger, basil drink bottle looks like our Kickapoo Joy Juice bottle. We too no longer buy sweet cakes for birthday. Hope you get to enjoy the Christmas market just as you did before the pandemic. Have a happy day.
Joy Juice sounds much better!
Well, we have a while to go for Christmas still .... let´s see!
Kickapoo is a very cute word for a German! I will adapt that, OK? 🧡😋
I wouldn't mind being younger... as long as i still know what i know now... lol Happy T day! Hugs! deb
Deb, that´s the problem, LOL!!!
I was already 24 when I first traveled Australia, I sure do NOT wanna miss this in my brain (and heart)!
And all the other cool stuff that happened in my life, no way I let go of that!
...Happy Birthday Igo, you young fellow.
Wow Iris what a full week! Happy birthday to Ingo, love your cake and candle drawing. The thing about Xmas markets is that they look so Christmassy lol, it's just how it should look I think and really gets you in the mood, so pretty, the little cabins and all the lights. We have non-stop rain, so I need to be putting the garden furniture away too, I am resisting though in case the sun decides to come back. Happy T Day! Elle/EOTC xx
Happy belated birthday to Ingo. I hope he enjoyed his "cake."
Sorry you had a bad week at work and also all the noise didn't help one day. At least you had a nice day off on <Monday.
Your lemonade with basil sounds wonderful. Thanks for sharing your calendar and your drink with us for T this Tuesday. I'll be doing and singing The Time Warp all day, too!
Happy birthday to Ingo. Sounds like an eventful and noisy week. Love the journal pages and hearing about all your adventures at work and home. The Christmas market sounds wonderful. Fab art - yes, Summer is gone.....
Hugz and happy T-day
I'd say you had a good week Iris. I usually walk in the morning but today I can hear the trucks out working on my road, so no sport for me today. I enjoyed your journal and reading about the Christmas market. That's a long time. I don't know Lost Places, but I do like shows about archeology or paleontology and places that have vanished. And Nice chair and beach page. I am excited because now that it is cooler and summer is gone I can go walk the beach. No parking to go in the summer. Have a super T day and Tuesday Iris. hugs-Erika
I love ALL your drawings -- it's a fun way to remember the week. And thanks for that Christmas market photo -- that's always been a bit of a dream to see the Christmas markets in Europe.
And, in case I missed before, Belated Birthday Greetings to Ingo!
Another belated Happy Birthday!
We are on our way home, 4 more sleeps!
Time Warp , Nice
Cheers

Lost Places is an American series (as far as I know), super-interesting! You likely would love it!
Yay to the beach!!! Hugs, enjoy!
____
Jeanie, thank you, yes, it keeps the mind in order! to make that journal
Otherwise I would sit and think, where has another week gone just yet again!
I think I didn´t do a Birthday post... we don´t really celebrate, but thank you for the wishes!
No, I wouldn't want to be 20 again. I'm fine being old. Now if only my joints were not so creaky lol
Happy T Tuesday!
Jackie, oh, I´m sorry!!!
____
Padre, yes! And cheers to staying young inside!
Wow Iris, what a wonderful post. So much going on. We watched Sunday football too. Looks like a lot of fun with some work too. Thanks for sharing it all. Have a great day today.
Happy Birthday Ingo! Wow, it looks like you had a busy week 😊. I can't believe you have Christmas markets already, it must be such a lovely place to explore, eat, drink and shop! I think Henry enjoyed the view too. Happy T Day! Hugs Jo x
Herzlichen Glückwunsch nachträglich an Ingo.
Nicole, to fun and footy and a great day! :-)
____
Jo ... NO! These pics are from 2020 or such!!!! Christmas markets start in December, all good!
Henry always loves having his peeps around him :-)
____
It's Ingo Day, let's all celebrate. Another year wiser by golly. :)
Haha, you wish! ;-)
I love your journal pages. It sounds like it was a busy week.
Thank you and yes, busy! That´s good, right?
My goodness Iris- your weeks are always so full . I love Christmas markets, and it will soon be time. Happy T Day, Chrisx
Salted Caramel cake sounds delicious! I could eat sweets for every. single. meal.
That combination of drink sounds goo. I am surprised how good herbs taste in drinks.
Sunday football was on at our house as well.
Happy Tea Day and have a great week.
Kate
Hope Ingo has a wonderful day. The lemon and ginger drink looks interesting. I like ginger beer.
Coffee is on and stay safe
Happy Birthday hugs for Ingo.
You find the neatest sounding drinks to share, this one sounds really good. always enjoy your journal pages-hugs from the lake Kathy
Chris, yes, life is busy :-) Sad thing is... time runs!
And hence... Christmas soon? x
____
Kate, yes, salted things are always great, and... not so sweet ;-)
And yay for herbs and football! It´s really so great we can watch now!
____
Dora, we don´t celebrate, but we try to have great days always :-)
____
Kathy, yes, it´s so fun to try new drinks! Hugs to you and the lake!
Happy Birthday Ingo.
I like hot ginger and lemon tea, with honey. I don't think I would like basil in it, I put basil leaves on pizza.
Our "Christmas Market" here is small and is a "craft" market, with homemade Christmas ornaments and things like that. It's on again this year, late in November and I think I will go. It is held inside, in a couple of rooms at the local Community Center. I don't know if we are allowed to take photos, but I will ask.
I have a pair of one kilo weights somewhere, I should find them and do some arm exercises. Maybe next year.
I haven't tried Lemon ginger basil, I can't imagine the combination but I'd give it a go.
River, Basil on pizza is a must :-)
Mine is still outside (the basil, of course ;-)...)
I hope you can share pics of your Christmas Market! Indide sounds... different!
In Perth it was outside. Sooo good in the hot weather!
Next year, LOL, and "maybe" ;-) I read you. Like my exercises I am supposed to do for my back...
____
Amy, it was yummy!
Oh, sorry I got so excited when I saw the Christmas marker photos! Christmas is one of my favourites and I would love to join you there 😊. Glad you're not that crazy ...lol! Thanks for clarifying (don't know how I missed it -doh!) and I bet you're looking forward to it this year too! Hugs Jo x
