T STands For HearT

My ticket for Elizabeth´s T!
These days it´s rather tea, though, brrrr, it´s cold.

 My week, huh?

Monday: FRICKIN´ cold!!! Even the table is cold in the mornings now!
The translation company... threw up again.
I´m getting sick of this.
Teamleader said after the deadline we talk with them. So long I clean up after them, is faster.
Fun with Admin 😀
9 hours, done and then into the cold to get Ingo´s bread. Found the cute CV deux. Later grocery... what a crap shop!!! Who has no soup-green in this cold?! But they have a self-check-out, comphy for the stuff I got.
A miracle... young people standing in line instead of using self-check-out. Thankfully, you always find an empty place there, hence.

Tuesday: Work 10 hours - 1 session with D
And some words for you I laughed my head off about.. I did my colleague´s job, the Proofreader´s:
What do you think of...

Kurzschlussschutz. (yes, 3* s)
Kippplattform (headache already?)
Schnellschlussbefehl - I was in tears! Of laughter!
This document was translated from Chinese. It was meant to say the tram has blinkers on when the doors shut in emergency. They translated it with "blinzeln in 2Hz"... well, blink (with one eye)... if you are in Frankfurt... be very careful taking this tram 😉
2 sessions with D.

Wednesday: Work 11+ hours (OK, I had a mini-lunch-break, brekkie at work-PC, though), no sport with D.
Really, last minute they in an international meeting asked me to change something... gahhh.... we ALL work hard, it´s OK.
I managed and everyone was happy, Spain, Germany, France, but, really...
I HATE when everybody watches me working on the dot.
And on top it was announced we get more time, not Dec 1st but 9th.
Nice, but, ... more stress.
Ingo got Schelllackplatten. Was nice. And got better. Yet...
Knackered. Tired. Worn out. But happy.
No sport.

Thursday: Meeting cancelled. One member went in, I saw that, joined to clarify and ... one after the other joined anyways.
Gah. I am "the German", LOL, always on duty...
Later...
My Excel magician was off already, so I called it a day (some dude destroyed the document in line 150-something).
He helped me BIG before, though!!!! As little time as we have it was for post Dec 09th... but now I can do it myself!
Gave up after 9 hours.
2 sessions with D.

Friday: 10 hours, no news, huh. "Can you do this, we need that"....
We don´t have to deliver Dec 1st, Dec 9th or 12th. This is GOOD! And means more stress.
Oh, whatever it takes, right, we need to get that baby on the rails!

Ingo came home with a beautiful flower that has to bloom still.

Weekend:
Saturday: We were both knackered and split up:
Me > City to get meds.
Ingo > Grocery.

Me > city - gave an artist a Euro and bumped into Braunschweig zeigt Herz - they only take coins and I had left but two.
Explained to the lady who got the other and got the heart for €2.

Came home, Ingo saw it and took off to the city (it´s a 20-minutes walk) and got a second heart for I don´t know how many coins 😍
We really tried one Lebkuchen-heart - too sweet for me, but Ingo loves it.

Yes!!!! The Christmas-Market is on!!!
I am not that dumb to go there on a Saturday, though.
Maybe one day, Wednesday for lunch or such.

Sunday: Woke up in the middle of the night cause I went to bed too early.
Went back to bed after watching TV, Ingo got up at 04:00 am and tucked me in so nicely.
I LOVE my job and he loves his but really... retirement sounds tempting!
Weird sleep schedules and we have to be back to normal in an instant.

X-Factor, Löwenzahn and Die Maus, then Fairy Tale.
Wow, one I think kids cannot keep up with! Quite a story. Certainly you knew from minute 5 they will love each other.
But now I wanna watch Quantum Leap again!

We do not watch "TV on demand", we are old-school and I love it cause it makes a tradition, right?
AND W! 😘Our 80+-y-o neighbor. Met him outside. We chatted in 6C and I invited him for when the ALSTOM stress is bit lower to a "party" 😊
Oh, I will have to bake an onion cake!
Later American Footy, yipee, with Henry the Great! 🏈

Commentator: "What are they DOING?!" - They just talk to each other."  - "That´s nice."
And this is why I LOVE American Football! They play nice. They PLAY.
Fußball is horrible.

Food-wise...

Carrot, pomelo, chicory, oil and cheese.

Art-wise... Ingo liked this better than the can with  which I join AJJ:

To a great week again!!!
Stressy, but GREAT!

Henry 🦁

...on the 23th you were upside down?

William, sadly I am small, a taller person would´ve taken a better pic (but Ingo was grocery shopping).

____

Bertiebo, thank you, it´s fun to make and clear your head.

Tom, yes, I hate people watching me work.
Guess what´ll happen at 02:00 p.m.
I have it all open for everyone to watch and discuss.
I´ll be upside down again, in my mind!

Another busy week. I'm exhausted just reading. I'm glad you got an extension on your job. the Lebkuchen hearts are very pretty. Has the flower bloomed yet? I hope we get to see it. Happy T Day

I wish we had Christmas markets like you do. They sound amazing. I'd like to shop at one rather than go to the crowded stores where you have to be inside. and Oh I love you Mr. Brown coffee drink drawing. I'm glad you're linking it up to AJJ for Elizabeth's theme too. And I love Mr. Upside down man in your journal too. It sure feels that way at times. And it's cold here this morning. Brrr is right. Hope your T day is going well. hugs-Erika

So glad you could fix that translation they did so wrong! What a mess up!

Glad you have an extension on the project. Sounds like you are adding some significant contributions where you work - I knew you would.

How sweet he got you a flower! Wish my hubby would do that.

Love all your sketches but that coffee drink sketch is especially wonderful. Super interesting things you do and I always love your posts, Iris.

Happy T-day and hugz

another busy and interesting week, you find the neatest drinks, heart cake looks good too. wal mart-big chain store here-put in those self check outs-I refuse to use them-takes away jobs for people and they don't lower the cost any so I will stand in line for person instead-just me
Happy T hugs

You are so busy with work and going out in the freezing cold for bread. LOL I am with you, I do not like being cold. Glad you like American foot ball. It can be pretty exciting. Have a great day today.

After having weeks of colder than normal now we're having warmer than normal temperatures. The saying around here is that if you don't like the weather, just wait a minute lol Happy T Tuesday

CJ, well, the job is not in "dry towels" yet, as we say (German saying only?)
Flowers move wrom work to proivate PC place amd look beautiful, pic to come :-)

____

Erika, when I go to the Christmas Markets (at day-time, likely) I can take some pics.
It´s more beautiful in the dark, but alsoo full to the brim.
The coffee guy was fun to make and oh, I have the feeling I bore you all to death with the same stuff all the time, so I thought upside down might be a bit better :-) Worked, I guess!
Yes, cold. I wear 4 layers. Inside!!! Hugs

____

Nancy, All I was allowed to do was making a comment! I hope they make the tram bling in orange and not with one eye, LOL.
I hope I add a bit of good in the work place.

Oh! Well, Ingo brings flowers occasionally. And other pressies. I fear I am like yourHubby - though! Ii got Ingo 4 mini-flasks of different Whiskey-sorts yesterday :-) Pic to come.

Thank you, blogging - as your comments - really help and are fun! Hugz!

____

magiceye, wish I was taller, the pic would´ve been even better!

____

Kathy... you are right! It´s not even cheaper, but, well, they have to maintain software & Co.
But, when I dash in whist having statut "will be back soon" at work I take the self-check out.
If not and there is no endless queue... at times Ingo i s away forever, chatting with our cash-out woman. Oh, see, thank you for the reminder! She loves Christmas earrings - time to meet in person soon again!
Hugs!

___

Nicole, I hate this time of the year - though now we have at least Christmas lights!
We had cards for every game the Braunschweig Lions had at home for 10+ years :-)
They were not only German, but also European Bowl defender often.
The atmosphere was great and former players came to watch the game, too!

_____

Happy Whisk, pics are to come :-)

Divers and Sundry, I love your weather-saying!

I always love reading your calenda3r and I love the images you draw, too. That latte sounds wonderful and I love how you drew it, too. Thanks for sharing these wonderful drawings and your latte with us for T this Tuesday, dear Iris.

I always enjoy your journal pages so much. It always seems like you have such busy days though. I hope you make it to the Christmas Market during the week.

Hubs and i used to refuse to use those self checkout lanes.. Because really all they do is take away jobs.. But unless people stop using them i don't think it will matter.. Now they post so few cashiers they really give you no choice but to use them. Love seeing all your sketches Iris. I love them every week! Happy T day! Hugs! deb

Iris Flavia said...

RedPat, I will go maybe this, maybe next week and take pics of the Christmas Market - promised! :-)
Yes, busy times. 10 hours again today...

____

deb, you are right on one hand. As River also said, it isn´t even cheaper at the self-check out!
But when I put my status at work on "be right back" I cannot afford to stand in line forever (the store is three minutes away).
If time, I sure take the cash-out girl - we know each other by name and since years :-)
Thank you, I love doing those sketches, they really free my mind! Hugs

Those names with all the S's and P's!! I think it would be hard to play Scrabble in German.
I'm glad you have a time extension for this project.
The chalk drawing is lovely.
I tried a hot caramel coffee once, it was too sweet.
What is Shellackplatten? Did I spell that right?

Iris Flavia said...

Bill, thank you, Mr. Brown is proud.

Carola, dann gib auch gleich mir die Schuld ;-)

____

Jo, winter clothes since weeks, bu-huu...
Christmas pics will come. hugs

____

Kate, thank you, yes, it stays weird, work-wise and Markets I´ll join some time.

____

Amy, I would love to visit!
Wearing for layers now...

____

River, I admit, I have never played Scrabble...This caramel drink was OK.
Schelllackplatten... post to come hopefully for Friday :-)
You missed an "l",LOL
Schell.. oh, boy. Years ago you would´ve been correct but now lack becomes an extra "l" so it´s Schelllackplatten.
Ingo wants me to draw loce for that. Hm. No idea yet...

Caramel latte sounds good. Work sounds very stressful, do you get much time off over Xmas? Still looking after sick kitties, so I'm very late to the party. Happy T Day! Elle/EOTC xx
