Are U Herb-y?

Today I join Rain´s Art and Dinner Date with "Herbs".
Mine are doing well despite the crappy, un-summerly weather.

Dinner:

Real pic too blurry. This was unhealthy but yummy!

For lunch I had:

Here in Northern Germany you call them Käsespätzle, "Käsespätzle (German for "spätzle with cheese",... or Kasspatzln in Tyrol) is a traditional dish of the German regions of Swabia, ..." (wiki)

When living in flat sharing there was one guy from Swabia who called them Kaas-Spatzen and he really made them from scratch for all of us - YUM!
These are bought, I added an egg into which I mixed chicken-breast and ... well, cheese (Tilsit). Also a bit yummy and FAST. Still loads of work, luckily! So... fast is good!

In Swabia you also say "Teppsch" for "Decke", aw, well.
We figured everything out!

Fun idea, no?
For all those who celebrate today: Happy 4th of July!
Hope it will be fun and yummy.

I sometimes buy the frozen Dr Oetker pizzas when I can't be bothered to make my own, I buy the mozzarella one and add extra toppings like tomatoes and garlic and pineapple, sometimes capsicum too.

That a good workaround! And a bit healthy :-)

I buy the Dr Oetker frozen pizzas and add a bunch of stuff to them. They are good.

For pizza, we use peta bread or wraps, they both taste great.

I love herbs. I need to check out Rain's post. I actually have herbs in my post and I can share (which I can't often do!)

Love the bread cat. Must show that to Rick!

Right, your Rick is "the bread man"!

Some good eats, Iris! Any pasta and cheese combo is great in my book. Also on my can't-have-that-too-often list, unfortunately.
No fancy eats here today. We went into town for the annual 4th of July Pancake Breakfast, which supports a scholarship fund, saw some friends there, then home where he worked on repairs on a small table, and I made pancake syrup and jam. Arent we exciting?

Cute and clever!

Sue. that sounds exciting indeed!!! We have a Pancake-Homer-Simpson pan :-) And I would add cheese, of course. Meeting friends is always great!!!!!

Your food looks and sounds delicious. I love anything with cheese. The more the better. And I do love your kitty pretzel. Someone was very clever. I do miss Henry though :( Be well, Iris ...
