This was price-reduced and I bought it only cause it looked so no nice and it holds some of Ingo´s flowers very beautifully, no? Also my parents were in Japan in the 1970´s.
With this drink (I had not at work) I join Elizabeth´s T.
From left to right from the back:
Indian Pacific, Bombardier, Adelaide Tram, in front a train like Transperth.
My Frankfurt tram is out of the picture as is the big one in blue Ingo presented me with.
It´s getting "choo-choo" over here!
The journal:
Monday: Flew by - finished maintenance instructions for train 189, customer is happy and gave me more to do.
The train now has arrived in Oslo.
And thanks to Tom... oh, I haven´t listened to this song for a long time but it so fits in, so I dare to share:
"Well, it's all right if you live the life you please..."
Weather: Too cold.
Tuesday: Working on train 194 and chatting with fK.
Hope to get the train done this week - have Friday off!!!
"Doc called" - jippeeee - will bring in my brain scan. The lady at the reception is super-sweet.
As was the one who gave me the electric-shocks - and the doc himself. Let´s see what´ll happen.
I am not left by myself.
Weather: Too cold.
Wednesday: Did I mention the weather is too cold? 12C/53F? I wore a t-shirt, sweater AND jacket today when I went to the doc to give my brain-scan.
Me: "I´d prefer contact via e-mail"- "We are not allowed to do that - data-protection. We can phone or fax."
Logic??? And of course I have a fax machine at home (not)!
We live behind a rock in Germany. Do you have a fax-machine??? My T has... for contact to doctors...
Thursday: We all run nuts. fK told me she needs to eat and take her turtle-medicine first.
???? Turtle, German Schildkröte.
Schilddrüse > thyroid.
Now I will take my meds with a smile! We laughed both so hard our tummies hurt.
Schildkröten-Tabletten!!! How will I ever order this properly at the doc again? 🤣😂😂
Friday: Up at 05 a.m. to do sooo much on my day off. Work-phone: peeeep.
mT asked if my problem is solved, he had no idea I have the day off.
fK saw I´m online on my work-smart-phone... you get the idea...
She is from East Germany and, like my T, does avoid contact on the private phone on off-days.
Yes. The wall fell 1989. And still... there is East and West in our heads still.
Cleaned, cooked, baked and ate a bit too much...
Sweet movie: Catch me/Tag - 5 men refuse to grow up and play Tag every month of May for 30 years!
Weekend: Saturday: Ingo came home with a surprise where the butcher-lady´d said, "women like that". I´m a bit afraid.... let´s see tonight what it is....
Had my red Star Trek T-Shirt on as it warmed up - "THIS IS MY LUCKY RED SHIRT".
Ingo: "No one will get this."
Pharmacy-lady: "COOL SHIRT!!!!" Yeah, there are Trekkies around still everywhere!
Ingo repaired TVs and has no problem to read this, LOL.
If you are not a Trekkie - those guys in the red shirts very likely die - but Scotty!
Who is an engineer, like me...
I can wear a red shirt ;-)
BBQ was a catastrophe, I threw the stuff in the bin...
Sunday: Die Maus and then, fairy tale: "Brüderchen und Schwesterchen" by Brother´s Grimm - that´s how my Brother and I address each other, Brüderchen and Schwesterchen (he started this - usually it´s "Brother and Sister"). Sadly Ingo blabbered all the way through and I did not know this fairy tale.
But the Sister in the tale is older, too.
My Brüderchen is a goldsmith and an optometrist, hence the glasses as frame.
And I certainly put "Brüderchen" under my pic and "Schwesterchen" under his.
And he wears fake 70´s glasses we found in the cellar in that pic.
Happy Days!
Munchy-wise for real from Jan:

cool rocking horse cookie cutter, love your journal pages-and you find the coolest drinks-does make a pretty flower vase. I think sake is an acquired taste. Happy Tuesday hugs from the lake
Yes, the taste was... well... ;-)
The horse came out so great, huh - and the taste... yummmmm.... hugs to you and the lake!
I LOVE my horse, Iris. The trouble is, I don't bake and certainly not in the summer heat we have here ~ 40 C.
I am also a trekkie. Love the calendar pages and the German sake you shared as your drink of choice this T Tuesday, dear Iris.
Dear Elizabeth, you can make pudding or such in the horse, too :-)
40C, LUCKY you! 21 here...
That sake bottle is really pretty and it does make a great vase. That was smart thinking. Too bad you don't get to visit Oslo either, but if the train is supposed to get there, and it did, all is good. I like your Viking ship. And it is so so hot and humid at my house today, I wish I could shiver like in your drawing. It's a little too hot for me. But I bet you would love it. I hope you have a super rest of your T day. hugs-Erika
...Iris, as they say, great minds think alike!
Erika, it makes a great little vase indeed :-) Sometimes my brain really works!
Ah, no ... Olso is no destination I am dreaming of - but customer promised pics!!
The ship smiles.
30C by now, yeppiiiieeee, warming up a little! Hugs to that!

Tom, yes!
The medical establishment here also worried about security on email, so many of them now use secure websites with sign-in procedures to post all info including diagnostic reports and patient queries. It’s actually quite convenient, though I wonder if it’s as secure as they think it is. The internet is definitely full of evildoers who might want to spy on people’s medical dta.
best,, mae at maefood.blogspot.com
Thanks for the music (again as I'd enjoyed Tom's posting of it!) And I really enjoyed your drawings throughout the week. Sorry your grilling didn't work out. I'm a Trekkie, but don't know what the shirt says if it were in English...oops. No translation there!
Lovely sake bottle, perfect for flowers.
Train arrived in Oslo? Perfect.
Loved the Traveling Wilberys. I haven't heard that song for a long time. Roy Orbison used to be in it as well if I remember well.
I had to laugh at your 'turtle joke. (And I learnt a new word: Drüse)
Great T-shirt! I love Startrek. 'Beam me up Scottie' was a catch phrase in our house.
What was wrong with those kebabs?
Those courgette muffins look delish. As does the horse. Elisabeth will like that one.
Henry and Junior are so cute!!
Happy T-Day,
Lisca
Doctors here still use fax machines too. They can't be hacked and are more secure.
Mae, so YES - secure websites. Maybe in ten years here, or such....
____
Barbara the Shirt says "THIS IS MY LUCKY RED SHIRT" :-)
It is in English.
Aw, well, the corn was good, too!
____
Lisca, yes, train #1 arrived - and customer promised a pic, too!
Music-wise... thanks goes to Tom!
Yes, that turtle/drüse. We really laughed so hard. And if only we could beam for real!
The kebabs were plain awful! Taste, everything... II rarely give food to the bin, but these....
The muffins were/are GREAT, thanks to fellow blogger Jan!
To Henry and his family - happy T-Day

RedPat, oh, help. But who has a fax machine at home??? Use safe online sites....
Interesting it´s not only Germany...
Your BBQ looks great and I'm loving your new sake vase -- so pretty with the flowers. Good luck with your scan results. They won't mail results to us (email) so we have a patient portal where we can go in to look at our medical records and test results when they post. Usually a good thing -- though it can sometimes be scary if we don't understand things and start googling before talking to the doc!
The corn was OK ;-)
Yes, a portal to get your data - maybe in 10 years...
It´s embarrassing over here...
Dear Iris, I had to laugh a lot about the Schilddrüsen-Schildkröten-thing. And my (only) brother and I call each other Lieblingsbruder and Lieblingsschwester (sometimes with a -chen at the end ;-)
What I haven't quite figured out yet - could I comment on your blog in German? Or do you prefer English?
All the best from Austria and happy T-Day, Traude
https://rostrose.blogspot.com/2024/07/weltreise-2024-neuseeland-von-nord-nach.html
Fax machines are so yesterday but I guess some businesses use them. We have secured portals that give us access to medical stuff about us. I posted two comments yesterday and they didn't show up, maybe spam?
Awww, I got lost again.
Dear Traude, I don´t care in which language (well, please not Chinese or such ;-)....)
In English others can understand you as well.
Cute how you and your Brother address one another - greetings to you in Austria! Have been there three times!
____
Bill, in 10 years or such we´ll have portals for that maybe, too. Germany > behind a rock.
I am sorry blogger ate up your comments, nothing in Spam it just... ????
____
River, this is SO annoying!!!! I have no idea what blogger does! I am sorry...
Great way to recycle a bottle for a vase. It's very cute. Your red shirt made me laugh. Lucky that you won't be picked for the away team or lucky that you will be picked? 🤣So sorry to hear you Summer weather is 💩. We're having another hot and humid day. Hopefully, our weather will make it's way to you. Happy T Day
