Believe 100% In The Internet

Ingo found an interesting recipe online.
The author told the history of the dish.

Rice is to be cooked a day in advance.
He gave the rice in cooked grams, not mentioning this.
How dumb is that.

Ingo took the grams uncooked and I thought, seeing the result, weee, that´s waaaay more than two portions.

Sad.
It´s but rice but it´s not but rice, we had a huge fight.
On rice.

Is it Corinna, me having no job, him being in pain and not getting a doc´s appointment in time due to the first?
Stress level is high.

Same in your place?
Henry 🦁 hides.

(There were enough other ingredients and I can freeze the rest, but... sad. Sad.)

Ingo wanted me to share this.

Come on guys ... gotta argue over a fist of rice?
If you keep the rice in the fridge until tomorrow, heat it up a bit tomorrow and combine it with fried chicken fillet, you have another meal!
Isn't the end of the world, right?

I hate recipes that don't specify if an ingredient is to be cooked or raw before measuring, but in the case of rice, you would have to cook it first and since you don't know how much raw rice you need to get the correct amount of cooked rice, of course you will have too much and now that I think about it, any "cooked" measurement will be the same, with the raw ingredient needing to first be cooked, so there will always be leftovers. you could try the old instruction I learned at school, that one cup of raw rice equals three cups of cooked rice, again, that depends on the type of rice I think, but it's a useful measurement to remember. Just break it down into the fractions: one third of a cup raw=one cup cooked and so on.
Anyway, the dish looks tasty, so having the same the next night wouldn't be a hardship and only warming up is necessary.

Ella, Ingo doesn´t like to get criticized... He cooked the rice, I had enough to make a huuuuge batch to simply freeze 😁 All good.
Oh, thank you, now I have an 👂-worm! It´s the end of the world as we know it... help!!!

River, the rice was cooked OK, that wasn´t the problem. Ingo just hates when I criticize him. I had enough of the other ingredients and made it all ready to go as meals in the freezer, all good.

It's probably a mixture of everything coming to a head, stress is not good for your relationship. Funny what we fight over isnt it? I know we've had some absolute humbdingers over the dumbest stuff, think about it the next day and laugh.

Gosh, Iris. I co8u;d eat all that rice in the pan in one setting. I love, love, love rice. Yes, silly to fight over rice.

We're all stressed and edgy. For me, it's being inside and the virus and winter. Plus family stuff -- worry about a kid, Rick's mom. Everyone's issues are different but things are stressful round the world, I think. I will say that dish looks tasty -- maybe you can come up with some creative ideas for the leftovers? Stuffed chicken or pork chops? Rice balls? That is foolish to write a recipe that way and leave out such a major point!
