It´s Official (I Am Old)

Yupp. Hearing test. For free.

Snail mail. And where did they get my address from, from whom????

But then. Maybe I go. Having no job I have the time. I´d like to know how my hearing is!
Right ear... 40% or less (due to the accident)? But what about the left one, I hope it´s 100%!!!

But then... will they get the kid´s gear out?
Again? As at my doc?
It´s always a shame. "You really have a VERY small head" I don´t wanna hear no more.
Niece wearing my helmet I had at age 14 and she was but 8 - I assumed in wonder she has a big head. Nope.

Where did I finally find my red hat at BIG W? Yupp. Kid´s section. All the nice lady hats were... too big.

Dad (hearing aids were on his resumee, too)... I was 24+ and he wanted to check... kid´s gear.

Explains a bit how I still have to proof I´m old enough to buy a beer (hilarious post to come).

Henry 🦁...

Elmo´s. too!

Me: PJ under jeans, soon Gurri, scarf, funny hat/bonnet, glovies, mask and off to the market.
Eeeek, it´s white outside! Snow, nooooo....
Probably because I announced I´ll make kale, which is typical for winter?

Wish me luck the market is open in hard lockdown (internet says yes, but pffff, who knows?)!

The last time I had a hearing test was when I had an inner ear infection. It turned out I have hearing both lower and higher than the normal range of human hearing.

I would be curious to have an actual hearing test given my not being able to hear on one side very well (because of the impacted wax). The other side is doing yeoman's work! Love Henry -- hope you can find what you need at the market.

...I'm sorry to hear of your loss, but you are NOT OLD!

I had a hearing test before covid and thank goodness my hearing is 100%. Just one less thing to worry about. Be safe out there and have a very good day.

Shari, yes!!! Only few stands, but I got what I wanted and also a losson on potatos! :-)

____

William, that´s... ARGH!
I cannot differ noises from left or right.

____

Jeanie, yes. Guess I´ll go! It does not help to call my mobile - I hear it ringing but cannot get the direction.
Things could be worse, eh!

____

Tom!! LOL. Bet they took my year of birth as hint! And that´s... old (though, you´re like my Big Niece, she claims I´m not old, either)

Having taught many teenagers with hearing losses of all kinds, you are NOT old!!!! Sorry to hear about the 40% in one ear. I have a small head too. And my daughter with her big head stretched out my favorite winter hat-grumble. Hope you're having a nice weekend!

No idea, maybe it´s more... or less than 40% - I am OK!!! Heads, huh, to a great weekend!

It's good to have your ears tested, you want to know how they are doing.
Enjoy the weekend!

Hearing aides are high price here in United States.
Coffee is on and stay safe

Glad your hearing is fine. Mine is slowly going somewhere----don't know where.

Hope you feel happy after a visit to the market.

I had a hearing test a few years ago because I thought I might need hearing aids, turns out my hearing is fine for my age, even after working in noisy factories and I just need to pay attention when people are talking.
I have a small head too, some kids hats are too small, most ladies hats are too small, so I buy ladies soft cotton hats with a drawstring inside the hatband so I can adjust the fit. I find the brim on most kids hats too narrow and don't give enough shade on my face.
You are not old.

I have hearing loss in both ears at a certain decibel range. It doesn't bother me unless some one mumbles when they talk.

My friend Sally gave me a hat one time because I didn't want my head to get sunburned. I just thought it was a large hat, but maybe I have a small head, too. Who knows.

BTW, you are NOT old. Here they send those hearing tests freebies out in bulk. Everyone in my neighborhood gets them.

Dora, I don´t need any, I just want to find out how good/bad it is....

____

MB, I´ll have the test Monday or Tuesday ;-)

____

magiceye, thankfully the two stands were there, many were not.

____

River, that´s good news! Ingo works in a loud place, too. Funny to learn how many have a small head!! Didn´t we get enough to eat back then?! I seem to be the only one in the family with this... Haha, post on your last words is already online...

____

Elizabeth, I often understand the dumbest, yet funniest things due to my right ear. Thankfully my brain can make up for that! ;-)
My kid´s hat gives enough shade, thankfully. Funny how many of us run around with a "small head"!
