After we got our eyes tested, choose glasses at Bro´s we went home via country roads - so sad Ingo could not
stop, but reckon that horse would not have cared to say hello anyways.
Ingo was driving (something I didn´t do since 2018!! Can I... do I still dare to?
Ingo bought gear to make the car beep when parking, which is important in the crampy Ring-Area for those who are used to it (me), so I will never ever drive Ingo´s car as the stuff is not implemented - he can do without, perfectly - Why buy it in the first place, no idea.).
Anhows.. .see the route Ingo took:
Sometimes it feels sad to be but in Braunschweig.
But, well... it was my wish and Corinna sure made me stick with it.
Or.. did she.
Is it but an excuse to not hop into a car?
Since I had an accident I am so afraid of being in a car.
Ingo turned into a very safe driver....
When we were nearly home...
The Braunschweig highways are complicated, I admit.
One driver didn´t see our car, .. I was reading a book, feeling safe, when Ingo suddenly pulled the car to the left, pushed the gas and slipped in the right, at high speed getting out.
I was still shivering when entering our door.
I plain HATE driving.
I took a training - I was forced to go in smaller and smaller circles to find out how much speed a car can take in this.
I had my Brüderchen (see last post) at my side, who encouraged me to go for more - yet... when Ingo had to do the real thing... it was horrible.
Dumb, mindless drivers.. THEY made me stop even trying.
I did, I had to ... for 10 plus years, but now I think I am out.
I could´ve asked Ingo for a mini-holiday at the German ocean.
Did not. Afraid of the roads. Before this happened I felt safe and took pics.. @Tom..
I even found this!!
We needed to refill the car. I wanted to pay, so I got out of the car and Ingo went, "go to the side!!!!"
I did.
"Turn around!!!"
I thought, by golly, I´m in nobody´s way now!!!!
See...
Glad I turned around, huh?
Henry 🦁
Ingo turned into a very safe, slow, driver - at times I thought about asking him to go a bit faster even.
It was a great summer.
I should´ve asked for a visit to the ocean.
As the guys from East Germany (Happy Unity Day!!!) say, "hätte, hätte, Fahrradkette".
Now it´s too late. Summer is over.

The same roads we had driven almost 20 years ago with our Harley Davidson (Moped). You on the backseat unfortunately could only smell the visions. Remember the barking dog who was chasing us in the small village!
Sweet memories.
Apart from the dog - he wanted to bite me.
When we moved here 36 years ago, we would seen just a few cars on our road, usually morning and evening commute and hardly any traffic on Sunday. Now, you take your life in your hands just to go get the mail! I would have asked to go to the ocean. Next time!
CJ, yes, I bite my butt.
But then ... all came back with COVID so... maybe it was the safer way to stay..
You are traveling through some beautiful countryside! Rick hates being in the car, hates driving. I love to go on road trips so usually I'll do day trips by myself or maybe meet him somewhere when he's on his bike. (I'd rather someone else drive so I can take pix but I can work with that either way!) Love that cool car you saw!
...Iris, what a wonderful road trip. Your countryside looks similar to yours. That thirsty Pontiac would be a fun ride. Thanks for sharing.
I love country roads. These are the first German country roads that I've ever seen, always saw photos of big cities.
Jeanie, I´m with your Rick! But the car was super-cool!
I used to love to drive...

Tom, glad I could give something back!

Bill, you are welcome. This was from Bornhausen to Braunschweig.
Wow, that car looks nice. I hate to drive, too. Gigi hawaii
What a FUN, fun road trip. Slow and steady, I'm sure. Great for photo taking at least. I'd love to visit the ocean, too, but the closest one takes at least a day and a night to get to. Not much of a day trip where I live.
Not every one is meant to be a driver, so no shame in that. And as concerns going to the beach, there is always next summer to look forward to! :) xx
I love to drive but I hate being a passenger.
That's quite a car.
I drive more than my hubby
Coffee is on and stay safe
That is quite the classic car. A very handsome car, and reminds me of my Dad who always bought Pontiacs while they made them. I learned to drive in one of those giant Pontiacs. I hope you get to go see your family again soon, and safe driver Ingo will take you. Those nieces of yours will be grown up so quickly. Happy new week. Hugs-Erika
I don't drive either, it's been too long since I sold my motorbike, I don't care to try again now there is too much traffic and it all goes way too fast!
Love the Pontiac!
It's never too late to ask for a trip to the ocean.
gigi, I used to love to drive... till teh accident.

Elizabeth, I sadl ymissed many a scene I could´ve taken! Gah. And the end of the trip was really horrible.
Oh, your ocean is even more far away than ours! So sad!
____
Margaret, I really loved to drive! I even took a day off when I had a substitute car when my parking one was crashed.
But these days... people get dumb and dumber with AI.... It´s a pain - plus I can reach anything by foot! :-) xx
____
RedPat, I hate both, what a drama ;-)
____
William, yes, I would love to drive that!
____
Dora, I luckily don´t need to anymore :-)
____
Erika, big WOW! I learned in our 5er BMW at age 14 and certainly took off on my own ;-)
Well, family. It was crazy. Are the 80´s back? The kids do what they want. It seems no one knows what to do, it was stress.
But it´s their decision... I have no kids cause I feared this ;-) hugs!
____
River, yes, too much traffic and especially people stop thinking, taking care, look!
A trip to a dirty ocean in the cold season... I wait for next year ;-) Or... will I? You don´t wanna swim in these anyways!
