A Walk In The Dark

Saturday > market day. Or, morno, rather, other you wanna queue up like forever!
Yikes, snow again!!

The old fashioned way, made me smile...

Actually a nice, crunchy walk (for the most part - try not not to slip and "fly"... to the ground).
So, let´s party, it´s all...

And icy cuties.

Me...?

... boring ones! Others....

Our market stall was not even there, but I found another to get Ingo his tomatoes.
Then for bananas and water (...!) I went to the grocery and tried to take pics for Nicole.
Mind you, stupid Germany, I got "the looks"...

So, I politely explained I´d like to take pics for a friend in the States, if that´s OK - private!
I have to ask the boss, he´s right over there. Did. He was not the real boss and said that one would be around somewhere, oh, really, come on, next time I go later and when there are other customers I just secretly snap away.

Cams are in phones, watches and what do I know - you have no control anyways!

So, this is all I came out with - I was too early in the day!

I´m officially disappointed with the new cam - no flash, no quality, sorry, this is all I got from far away...

You want something that´s not on display or not enough?
No worries, they make it fresh for you, they have it in the background, in the coolhouse.

On the way home...

And here is why...

Never knew dogs walk through their own pee!

Henry 🦁....

Into space, rather (Henry, that´s cold, also!)

Has snowed at your place? Not here! Is very cold already! Now -4 grade C.
What time were you running errands? I think it was very early! Before 8 o'clock?
At that time I was still in bed!
I love shopping in Kaufland, but it's also the only super I've been to! I don't know what it is like in Real ?!
Have a nice Sunday!
Give my regards to Henry! Maybe if he has that cosmonaut helmet, it's not that cold!

Ich hab dich liiiieb mein 🐘!!!

-8C, snow and ice still there, I crunched my way outside, it´s sunny and even nearly beautiful!
Yes, I was at the market by 07:10 a.m. And there were already people!!!
Pfff. 08:00 they officially open, nahhh, 07:00 they really do!
I think we have a Kaufland, too, but far away, near the zoo and this one looked... dirty! real is OK, do you have EDEKA? Or REWE, this was a REWE.
A nice Sunday to you and Henry says hi, he took his helmet off and stayed on earth, his adventure is over 😁

Ich hab dich liiiieb mein 🦋

Yes, I have a Rewe on Emmerich am Rhein!
A little further on that Kaufland, I will go there in the summer, or when the lockdown will be over.

Hahaha. When will the lockdown be over?
Let´s hope for that xoxo

Love the idea of crunching through the snow Iris, still too hot here 😓 What kind of camera did you get?

I’m leaving this generic message so you don’t think I’m a flake. I didn’t feel good Friday, and when I woke, the entire area around the eye that got damaged last summer had swollen so badly, I couldn’t open it. After speaking with the vision specialist, the soonest I can get in is Monday morning. I am not to wear the eye patch I was given in case it might exacerbate the swelling, but I am to take the eyedrops I was given from before. Thanks for understanding why I haven’t been to visit you.

Great photos of the snow and store. Over here in Hawaii, there is snow on top of the volcanoes. But now below where I live.

Winter is here. I love seeing the winter city photos. No city photos in my little spot of the world so these are great to see Iris.

I admit to being sneaky when taking photos in stores (like you say, there are cams everywhere anyway). I use my phone camera and sort of pretend like I am simply using my phone - like so many other people already are :)

Ooh! I love snowy days. They are mostly uncommon in the south. At the first sign of a snowflake, everyone here flocks to the local market to stock up on milk and bread for some reason. I'm no different from other southerners in that regard. Have a wonderful week.

Liberty Belle, you made me laugh, thank you for the funny start into the week, a wonderful one for you, too!

Shari, well. Can get warmer very soon, if you ask me ;-)

Grace! Too hot, LOL, that cannot happen! I have a cheap, small Canon, must see if I can give my Sony in for repair...

___

Tom, gladly I don´t have a car no more, but the spirits I try to keep up.

Oh, Elizabeth, this is awful! I keep fingers and toes crossed all goes well today (Monday here).

____

gigi, Hawaii and snow sounds so weird!

____

Nicole, I look forward to see how it looks like in your place!

Erika, I´ll take my can with me today then :-)

____

Natalia, LOL, I look forward to sunny, hot days, but, well, this must do - to a lovely new week!

____

Bertiebo, eeek, at least no snow... Here it turned into ice.

____

RedPat, it was, now it´s but slippery.

____

William, I´ll send it over to you then!

____

Henry looks like Gypsy in that photo!

I love the whole Idea of lifting the wipers in the bad weather. I don't know why I never thought of that -- it makes perfect sense!
